Default Is a tracker pod (remote controlled moving camera mount) a good investment

    http://www.trackercam.com/TCamWeb/IR-Pod.htm

So Ive got this tracker pod thing on my amazon wish list its basically a moving camera mount the one in the link works with any remote because i want to get a sonic screwdriver remote to use with it (http://www.amazon.com/Doctor-Who-Son...I1CWPAVYGPCA7J) and i'm wondering if i should even get it. It would be cool to not have to fuck with the camera all the time to get it at the perfect spot but do u guys really care that ur messing around with the camera to get it at a good spot? right now when i work on sm i sit in a chair and when i get taken pvt i stand up and dance around a little bit until im naked while im naked and before i start going at it i take the camera tilt in down until the seat of my chair is at main vocal point of the camera i sit in the chair lean back a bit and start the main part of the show. im wondering if i can keep working like that and raise my rates eventually or would i have to do something different eventually? id like to try working on a bed but getting the right angles and stuff is kind of another beast then it is now. its not like im in a bad need of money because if i dont get this thing ill just get my hair done or get some wigs or something. just wondering if its something thats worth getting since its $200. and i know about the Logitech bcc webcam but i read a review the remote control wont work on a windows 8 and it would be the main reason i would get it since my c920 and 9000 still work perfectly fine

No because I don't think you can zoom in. Some girls opt for camcorders because it offers movement, zoom, and is remote controlled, but a lot of girls say they all have shitty picture quality. So it just depends what you want to do with it, and what you hustles are.

Windows 8 sucks. Its a cam girl nightmare and there is no benefit (that I've come across) to opting for it over windows 7. In fact, I'm pretty sure windows 7 is superior.

This type of system is what I've been looking for and into over the years i.e...Sony EVI-D100, Trackerpad with hd camcorder, and The Logitech Bcc. I had the Sony EVI-D100. It was nice, loved the zoom/pan/tilt but the gloomy/surveillance camera look got on my nerves so I returned it. I watched 1 model who used The Logitech Bcc. The picture quality looks like it could/should be better and it makes noise when you pan and tilt. Its a nice camera don't get me wrong but I'm hella picky and critical when it comes to electronics and cameras. So it didn't impress me enough to want to buy it.

I think the Trackerpod might be worth it as far as convenience goes but like GR mentioned you won't be able to zoom in and all that stuff. You'll have to do that manual with your mouse. I plan on using the Trackerpod with my Canon Hv30. Its a dv camera..I know hella old but I love the quality and it has a remote. Since you've downgraded to Windows 7 I think the Bcc might be a better option for you. If you were to just get the Trackerpod then I have a feeling that eventually you'll get tried of having to zoom in and out with your mouse. Then you'll most likely upgrade to a camcorder with a remote which will run you up to $600+ unless you get it used. So that's $800+ right there. If you got the Bcc that's only $200 and it gives you all the features that you seem to be looking for. So over all I think the Bcc would be a better investment then the Trackerpod.

Sidenote: I wish Microsoft would stop changing Windows every dammmm year. Why can't they keep the core system/name and just make improvements like Mac. Instead they change it every year and change the name. Like seriously how many Windows do we need? Its really annoying. If I were a manufacturer windows would get on my last nerve.

I bought it in 2009. It was a waste of money.

I watched some youtube vids on it and decided to find a laptop with Windows 7 instead of getting windows 8. I like MAC, I just hate the mouse!
