    Default One or More Aliases

Hi everybody. What's the general consensus? Do you feel it's best to have one name so you brand yourself. Or do you like having different names for site so guys don't get bored with you. I'm not sure whether to brand myself as only one name or to pick a new name for a fresh start. I work 3 companies right now and am about to start 3 new.

I have 4 different aliases on 4 sites with a different personality for each one. Once a guy from mfc recognized me on xpeeps before it shut down but for the sites I'm currently on it has never happened. Maybe I'm just paranoid but branding scares me. I rather leave as much as a disjointed trail on the net as possible. I also use different pics for each site in case of reverse search.

It's fun to switch it up and have personalities. Because being a actor is draining. It'd suck if I was branding myself since I'd have to stick to one personality my mfc one (girly-girl) which isn't me.

If you want to brand go ahead but I think it's more fun to switch it up. It gives me more patience for camming since I get to be someone else.lol Instead of the same character for each site.

Thank you. I am kinda sick of myself. So I think I am going to make a new name. I noticed my cam persona does evolve.

I don't know what the general consensus is, but I know I have two completely seperate personalities. It is annoying as fuck when it comes to social media marketing because I have to do everything twice so I can completely understand the branding thing but for me.....I make more money because each site I am working wants two different things.

    Good question!

I never figured out how to have a different personality for work. I am me 24/7. I make no apologies for being bitchy or what ever that mood that day. I own it. Most of my guys love it & the freeloaders hate it.

On camera or off, I am the same. Don't have the ability to be that good of an actress.

    Branding does work for me.
But to each their own, do what works for you.

    Good Luck,
    Sam

I prefer to use the same name for as many sites as possible. It makes model log-in easier, and on sites like Streamate where you're not allowed to mention other sites, SM guys wanting to see your Twitter profile, etc. can just do a Google search using your model name.

I go by several based on the site. Personally, I didn't like branding my name on big box sites like SM because they are so high ranked in google. They have so many white label sites that my branded name would lead to their sites whether I'm online, offline, or quit the site. For a few months my branded name all pointed to SM. Now when I do a search it goes to my twitter, my personal site, and a few cam sites that I make more percentages on. I did notice that one site still pointed to a SM white label but was outnumbered by my other sites so it's not that bad. Now I choose simple but fetish focused aliases on big box sites and keep my branded alias on my own sites. I think I have more control that way.

I keep the same name on all sites but one, and am trying to get that changed to my main name as well. I just think it's kind of weird to go by, say for example, Stacey on one site, Monica on another, and Victoria on a third. Especially considering that a lot of customers browse more than one cam site, I think they'd be pretty confused when they find your different names. I'm also glad I've kept the same name for everything because I've switched sites many times in my career and I've had many guys track me down and be able to find me (and spend on me!) on my new sites.

ETA: I FINALLY got MGF to change my name after two weeks of trying. Now I officially go by the same name on every site and I couldn't be happier with my decision

I just use the same name everywhere- I feel like that makes it easier for people to find me

Me too. I think it is important to brand yourself. You want to cultivate regulars and you can't do that as well if you're 3 different people. Regulars will take you from the $1000/week challenge to the $2000/week challenge in my opinion. They also take time to build up, and if everything across all your platforms is the same, it's much less work!

^THIS. It took months and months to build up the amount of followers I have on twitter. I couldn't justify building and maintaining multiple accounts for multiple personas and that's just talking about twitter, never mind all of the other ways you can market yourself.
