I fail to see the problem in you not having any competition and being able to make all the money that walks into the club. Getting girls into the club is management's problem, so don't worry about it, and certainly don't feel bad about making money and leaving customers alone on the floor. Fuck, I'd be milking this and refusing to go back for just a dance or two. Sell only VIP or a block of time/long string of dances or move on to someone who will. You are literally their only option!

yeah i agree, i would LOVE to be in your heels right now! why would you want competition coming in? its rare these days for the market not to be saturated, why on earth would you want more competition? if guys are still coming in, then don't worry about it

Some clubs fix that by mandating work on slow days.

I'm curious as to whether or not any of the other girls who've posted so far have ever actually worked alone on a shift. Let me tell you, I have quite a few times, and I fucking HATED it.
Last time I pulled (most of) a shift alone, I went on stage at our 7pm opening and only one other girl showed up at MIDNIGHT, 2 hours before close. She got pissed off and didn't want to stay, and only did because I frantically begged her IN TEARS not to send me back on the floor alone. These were NOT crocodile tears by any stretch; I was literally in enough pain from doing back to back stages and single dances in an effort to keep paying customers from leaving (and most of them still did), that night was the ONLY time I've ever cried at work. My only saving graces that night were that we took turns for the 30 minutes after she got dressed before I sold an hour to a guy who massaged my feet. Even still, every part of me was so sore that I informed the manager I would NOT be returning the next night, per my schedule, so that I could have time to recuperate and that if I was EVER the only girl working by 10pm again, I would walk out regardless of whether or not he wanted to fire me over it. Thankfully, it never did.
I don't mind working with only 1 or 2 other girls, but I will NEVER work a shift alone again, ever. Yes, the money is good for the first half of the night, before guys get bored of you and realize no other girls are coming. You can make great money working by yourself, depending on your club, if you know how to manage your time right like I did that night. But I have more respect for myself and my body than to do that shit again. It's just not worth it to beat myself up that badly (the first couple of times I worked alone, when I was still a newbie and didn't have those protective callouses, my feet were BLEEDING by the time I got home) and be the face those guys think of when they remember "that shitty club with only one girl working."
Exotic dancing is like any other job.If you work in an office, you wear dress shoes and a suit.If you work in a restaraunt, you wear skid resistant shoes and a uniform. If you work in a strip club, you wear 7" stilettos and lycra g-strings.

I have been one of 2-3 girls on shift (for a few hours). $$$$$$$$
I love slow times because I have a LINE of customers that want dances. I have danced 3X+ the normal set-length on the stage when times were slow. Afterwards, I was non-stop dancing for a queue of guys.
Whoever tips me the most on stage gets the first dance.
If the guys wanted to be entertained immediately after my set was over, they should have tipped me more.
I love to monopolize the slow times.
And it's amazing how patient customers will be while they are waiting.
Interesting note: Guys seem to like a dancer that glistens (a.k.a. "is sweaty") and remains busy.

I've worked alone before, you can't keep customers in the club long that way... three girls would be great as long as none are whores/catty
I have worked alone... one Sunday night in Vancouver. I did well, but some customers I just couldn't keep in the club. I saw some customers come in and ask how many girls were working. When they heard there was only one girl they left...
I don't like when we have less than 10 girls at my current club. Customers come in for the GIRLS (plural).

Maybe a strip club is awkward but years ago I used to work at one of those peep show booths and sometimes would be the only girl and would easily make 1000+ days, damn I miss those days. Strip clubs are different though...Maybe you weird like me and like to know that you actually worked and competed for you money lol. Theres been days where ive banked bc it was only a few girls but its not the same content feeling as banking with a whole bunch of girls if that makes sense O_O Either way you said youre still making money so enjoy those easy days![]()

Idk, I've done plenty of shifts at the club I'm currently at where only two of us showed up and it is extremely exhausting, especially when you take in to account that our ability to go home(not stay 12 hours) is completely dependent on enough girls showing up to work. Though, this is stage only so the schematics are a bit different.
I can see how being the sole dancer in a lap dance club would be beneficial, though!

I have been the only girl or one of 3 girls in my club. It IS exhausting when you do stages over and over because there are no girls, on top of lap dances, it runs my energy down fast. Customers leave fast once they see there arent too many girls. But the ones that stay are a quick sell, easy money because there is no competition. This always happens to me most often when the club opens where I am at and I consider it a bonus when this happens. It takes 2, sometimes 3 hours until more girls show up for the mid shift, I like working morning/ noon shift as much as I do the last 15 minutes before the club closes.

I totally agree with everyone. Saturdays from open to about 2 or 3 are usually just one girl on. I like it because the guys really don't have a choice (muahaha) so that's all the $$$ in the club just for me. Granted, that may not be much when it's noon, but still it IS nice to have my house and tipouts paid by the time the other girls are even waking up.
On the other hand, that shit is really tiring. Last time I worked an open shift, we had customers from 11:30 on and nobody else got on the floor until about 1:30. It was only 2 hours, but it SUCKED having to go from stage to customer to customer to stage again with not even a water break. It also sucked because about 3 other girls showed up at that 1:30 mark, and then no mas until night shift; I had been planning to work my 11-4 shift and go out right after, but I wasn't allowed to leave until there were at least 8 girls on the floor. Lame!
They do incentivize here to get girls to work slow days... Sundays are apparently so bad here that they offer a free night of house to use another day if you're ready by 4pm on Sunday... I think it'd be worth it since the 9pm fees are $55. Nice little subsidy!
