    Default Belly button piercing...

Has anyone had there’s done ? I’ve been thinking of getting mine done but I’ve got a really low pain threshold and was wondering how much it will hurt if I go ahead with it...?

Had mine done, but it never fully healed and closed up after I forgot to put it back in following surgery. It will take a fraction of a second and will feel like a bad pinch. After, it's tender and might throb a little. It hurts if you catch it on something, of course. They'll do it while you're lying down, so if you tend to pass out from pain, you're in the clear.

Mine barely hurt at all. It's just a quick pinch, and then you're done. I don't remember it being too sore for too long afterwards like my nose ring was.

You can't sleep on your stomach for a few days to a week, or you can but it will be sore. It doesn't hurt that much, actually the clamp they use to hold the skin hurt more than the actual piercing. I've had mine for 6 years now and I love it! I feel like it makes my stomach look more toned and it's sexy.

It depends, I got mine done when I was 16 and didn't feel a thing . I actually think its great to go while you are worried because it never turns out as bad as you think it would

For me, it wasn't the actual piercing, but later I got an infection. A lady in a sex shop recommended Hybocleanse, sold @ Walgreens, in a blue plastic bottle, surgeons use it. Helped a lot. I lost my jewelry, by the time I found it, it'd closed up. I would like to get it repierced though. One thing, when I get bloated, it kinda presses on it & hurts a bit.

Mine was a pinch, like not even long enough to count "1 Mississppi".
Make sure you take super good care of it though. I cleaned mine twice a day for 3 months and it was still infected for a good 6 months... I had to squeeze the shit out of it every day until one day it just stopped filling back up.

The first time is nothing compared to piercing thru a lot of scar tissue. I just got mine re-done cause I always used to get it done when I was younger, not take care of it and let it get infected/reject. Getting it pierced this time was awful but it helps to squeeze someone's hand. DON'T touch it, DON'T play with it!, DON'T change the jewelry right away and be careful not to bump it or snag it. My piercer recommended Band-Aid antiseptic wash, and I really like it. I use it 2-4x a day. Also non-iodized sea salt for infections.

My nose piercing hurt more than my belly button. And my tongue piercing hurt less than my belly button. From what I remember, your stomach will swell for a couple weeks though. I think also the size of your stomach will make a difference too. If you have rolls, it will definitely get irritated when you sit down.

I had mine for 4 or 5 years then it rejected. Got it redone a month later and it rejected again. Now I have a nasty scar that I wish wasn't there. I could redo it to maybe cover it up but I'm scared of it happening again and making it worse. My plastic surgeon said if something rejects you have to take the piercing out for at least a year to heal properly. That's why mine rejected again when I tried to get it repierced.

The trick is to not look while they put the needle in, it's the thought more than anything that is scary. I was really nervous when I got mine done because I'm scared of needles but I looked away and it didn't hurt at all. Afterwards just wash it daily with salt water and it should be absolutely fine.

Both my cousin and I had ours done with different results. She got it done twice and both times her body rejected it leaving her with a nasty scar. She thinks is because she's to skinny for it to "grab a good chunk of skin" lol. She is really skinny though so that might be the reason. I have a little more meat and almost a year later, it's still there. The piercing was intense, but very brief, like someone else said, not even "one-Mississippi."

The piercer was no help at all, didn't tell me about after care or anything. Thank goodness for my cuz. She let me squeeze her hand the whole time (really helps if you're nervous) and told me to just twist it around and wash it out really well with dove soap bars every time I shower.

For a couple weeks after, it was sore and kind of felt like a stomach ache at times. What I've noticed is it takes a really long time healing, still not completely finished now, but I can change rings at least. You also have to baby it a lot because it's back to square one if you rip it open, something I had to learn a couple times. I wouldn't ever leave a ring out of it for more than a couple minutes either because it'll close up fast and it HURTS to shove it back in.

Bottom line: I love it. It makes me feel sexy and womanly. Recommended!

I got mine done when I was 12 so I've had it 11 years. I don't know if you're dancing or camming but if you're working in a club it's a real pain in the ass. I don't wear my ring anymore because it gets caught on clothing (mine and customers) and the ball falls off and I lose my rings. It's a really cute piercing but I thought I'd let you know about my experiences. Good luck!

Mine definitely helps me feel a lot sexier than if I hadn't had it done. It was my first ever piercing, it doesn't hurt it's just a sharp, minor sting for a couple seconds then it's done.
    HOWEVER!Aftercare!
Mine has infections in it still even though it's healed and I'm sure it's because when I first had it done I didn't take proper care of it.

I got mine done when I was 18, and I thought it hurt a lot. However, the pain was literally for only one second, so not really a reason to not get it done, IMO. Like everyone else said though, it does take a long time to heal. During that time, you do have to be pretty careful. You might forget its there cuz it doesn't hurt while it's healing, but you will definitely remember it when you bend down really fast to grab something! OUCH.

Here's the description of what happened when I had mine done-

Laid down on chair and pulled up shirt. Chilly iodine swab. Jumped when she put the cold ass metal clamps on. 1, 2, 3. Pressure (no pain) when the needle went in, only a teeny pinch when it came out the other side. The only "ouch moment" was when she pushed the jewelry in behind the needle.

To me, getting my navel done actually hurts less than getting my ears pierced.

IT doesn't hurt much. I had it done 15+ yrs ago. I have a small /thin 20g for a thin ring , it looks better if you are petite. Maybe its why it really didn't hurt.

I'm a bit of a chunk (5'3, size 10 brit and 9st 7) and mine only hurt a tiny bit. I don't have a 'fat' belly but I have a good bit of flesh there. I think it actually makes me look slimmer.

    Did you get it done?

Mine was kind of a shit experience. Went when I was 16 and I think the piercer either was a weakling or didn't use a sharp enough needle or something? :s He struggled for like 15+ secs to push the needle threw and said "you have the toughest skin I've ever pierced" The jewellery going in hurt more than the piercing itself. It got infected and took over 6months to heal but I still have 1 now. I hear it's better to get it done in the summer because of swimming and stuff? Dunno ... Good luck

Haha, I love my belly ring. I originally pierced it myself with one of those really big sewing needles lol. Now that was painful lol, but I wasn't old enough at the time to get it pierced without parent consent. I eventually pierced it, but the hole was too small to get the jewelry through. So i ended up with really sore black and blue naval lol. I got consent after that because mom didn't want hurting myself trying to pierce it again lol. That was easy compared to doing it myself.

Piercing is easy, keeping it clean after until it heals is not.

mine kept trying to turn sideways - like my body was rejecting it or something - I finally gave up after fighting it well over a year - the initial pain was not that bad
