Default Pleasers sizing help - Half sizes

Sorry I'm repeating myself but I posted this in another thread but I don't think it was seen so I'm hoping I'll get some help!

I've read a bunch of threads and they each have conflicting opinions on sizing. Even reading Amazon reviews for the shoes I want the sizing wasn't consistent.

I am looking at these shoes for my first stripper heels the Pleaser "Kiss Sandal": http://www.amazon.com/Pleaser-KISS20...=pleaser+shoes

I am a 7.5 or an 8, more often a 7.5 than an 8 though now that I've lost weight (my feet shrunk I guess? weird)

Should I get a size 7 or an 8? They don't have half sizes...

My costume lady always says go smaller. They will stretch to fit your feet if they are too small, whereas, if they are too big you are kinda screwed.

What she said. I wear a 7 in daytime shoes but always get a 6 in Pleasers.

I wear 7's and buy 7's for my pleaser's. If you can, the best thing to do really is to go to a store and try some on and walk around in them a bit. I THINK those are the ones I purchased online a little over a year ago, and I got 7's, and they were reeeeally narrow. You have to be really certain of your brand and shoe size when you buy online (I made that mistake. oops. $40 out the window). If possible, buy your first pair from a store, or just try them on to get an idea of how you fit in them. Stripper shoes should be comfortable! If they're hurting your feet at work, chuck 'em and get a different pair!

My issue is that I am over an hour away from the nearest store that carries them, and of course they will be more expensive anyway plus gas, time, etc. so I'm trying to avoid that if I can (but I'll do it if I have to). I do believe if I order directly from Amazon I can return them though.

Eegads. Okay, well, order away I guess. That sucks though. I hate buying clothes/shoes online because of that time :/ Maybe order one size up and one size down, and return the ones that don't fit as well?

Yeah, I was wondering about this too! Usually, I'd go up a size on account of the high heel, but maybe not it seems. I may go in Lover's Lane store & try a pair on.

Thank you for reposting!! I'm the exact same as you. I think I'll do the 7s and do the whole bunched up sock over night thing. Stuff a thick sock into the shoe so it's really tight and leave it to stretch the shoe. Or you can wear a thick sock and stuff your feet in it and walk around. If its the plastic/clear heels, you can warm them up with a blow dryer before putting them on. But only if they're way too tight because your body is warm so it ends up doing this itself while you dance and get hot.

I heard if they are too small you can fill a plastic bag with water and put it in the shoe and freeze it. The more that I think about it I should probably get a 7...

^ couldn't you just use the hair dryer? just slip it over your foot, hold the hair dryer over it and kind of "melt" it a bit to conform to your feet and leave it on there to harden. always works for me! i always always go with a full size smaller than my shoes or half a size. im size 6 and a half regular shoes so i go with 5 or 6 in stripper heels..you want those babies real tight as im sure you know

I've worn the clear 6"-7" Pleasers for > 10 years. Generally I wear a 9 in shoes but buy a half size to a size larger in heels so that I have swelling room and can pad the insole. I wear the same size in Pleasers as normal (for NON-heels-9.) I do a couple things with shoes: 1) Spray deodorant of the top, bottom and sides of your feet. It prevents chafing, odor, and sweating and help your shoes stay nicer longer. This also helps to prevent blisters. 2) When you first get your clear shoes, warm them with a hairdryer as they were saying, but not with your feet in them. Slip your feet in after they're warm - it will heatform the plastic to your feet. If they become tight/chafing later that night - do it again. Just don't do it for more than a day or so - you can potentially overstretch the plastic.

I've found that for sandal-type Pleasers, buying down has always worked out for me. I wear a 7.5 normally, so I buy 7's for anything with an open toe. I've got super narrow feet so they're slightly loose around the straps, but not so much that I fall out of them.

For any closed-toe Pleaser pumps or boots, I size up to an 8. It's always a good idea to put some gel pads and odor-controlling insoles in them because 1. they're more rigidly-constructed than the sandals, so they're inherently less comfortable/take forever to break in, and 2. vinyl traps moisture (and unfortunately, unpleasant smells). By the time they're loaded up with inserts and I've got socks or stockings on, a larger size offers a much better fit.

Wanted to update! I ordered a 7 and they are tight, but I think they'll stretch and if not I'll use some of the techniques you guys gave. Hope this helps anyone trying to decide! They also JUST fit, so if you are closer to an 8 you might be better off getting that, at least for the style I purchased.
