    Tired Heavy Metals in Lipstick

The study found several heavy metals in lip products.

Of course they did not name names... fabulous.

"Lipsticks and glosses may contain potentially troubling levels of metals, according to a preliminary new study.
Prior research has raised some concerns over the presence of lead in lipstick, but the new study is the first to suggest that many popular lip products also contain cadmium, chromium, aluminum and other metals -- some at levels that may be harmful."

You gotta make and use your own! Jell-O and Kool-Aid are good lip stains. I posted in the "sore cracked lips" thread about making lip balm. You could potentially mix either of those into that mixture to make a tinted lip-balm...
It's horrible what goes into makeup and how it's made. I hate that

Yeah the FDA made a huge list about 400 brands of lipstick that contained lead. http://www.fda.gov/cosmetics/product.../ucm137224.htm

You can make your own lipstick: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwYibvVBDXs

Kind of ghetto - crayons, lol. but it is really safe (babies can eat a whole box and not get sick) and crayola makes like every color imaginable.

Yikes! :-o I mainly stick to organic chapsticks like Burt's Bees for day use. However I always wear gloss at the club. This is sketchy.
