Hey, ladies. I just got out of an audition with a higher end club in Denver, and they said they "pass for now" because I'm "a little on the skinny side and need to turn up my makeup and hair."
Well, I don't know what they expect me to do about my body type. I've always been pretty thin due to my fast metabolism (although I do have a nice plump ass!). I wore a really long and wavy auburn and strawberry blonde wig because I've got a short buzz cut and that's typically not appealing to our target demographic in this business. Also, I just had a light brown smoky eye going so I can understand about the makeup.
Obviously, my body is not about to change, but with the constructive criticism I was given, what should I do about my hair and makeup? Most people find the wig believable, but maybe as a pale girl I should try blonde or red (my natural color). I'm good at doing my makeup... but hyper-femininity has never been this queer girl's forte.
Any suggestions? What's worked for you?
If it's of any help, my eyes are big, almond shaped and dark green, I've got a warm pale complexion, I'm sort of a thin pear shape, natural redhead and I have a large, but tastefully done back tattoo. I chose black, white and red clothes because the shoes I picked are black with red corset lacing up the back. I wore a classy, strappy black dress with a black lacy bra and one of those low-rise "regulation" thongs, black fishnet stockings with white backseams and bows at the back of the thigh. What type of makeup and hair would work with that look?

Also, I just had a light brown smoky eye going so I can understand about the makeup.
