Bloomberg is the biggest jagoff mayor currently and probably of all time. What an asshole and I feel sorry New Yorkers are stuck with him and him trying to push his agenda. He also caused my district to get a piece of shit politician just like him so I despise him even more.

But new Yorkers elected him. They get what they deserve. Problem is they inflict him on the rest of the country.

True and it is affecting me, though I live in Illinois. Then again I live in a district where our previous congress man is going to prison and was a known criminals yet people voted for him (not me I voted for his opponent).

But sadly it's either people with money or people who are connected with the super rich who get into office. It bothers me because we don't get by the people for the people we get by the super rich for the corporations and other super rich.

Personally, I would rather see someone in office worth billions, as long as he or she made their money ethically. A billionaire would be far less likely to be influenced by special interest groups who contribute lots of money to his campaign directly, or indirectly. There are far too many officeholders who try to do what is best for the special interest groups who contribute to their campaigns, rather than their constituents.

exactly, whether u like bloomberg or not hes more likely to be upfront about his intentions than a nobody who is easily swayed by a bigger paycheck behind closed doors.

As you said, personal opinion. I've seen money trying to be managed beside running a office & this can cause conflict. I could name a few but that would lead into a discussion about politics? So we agree to disagree...

isnt this entire thread politics? since the link wasnt a news article, just poorly written satire meant to invite a discussion about politics?

also is politics not allowed at all on this forum or subforum?

Charlotte, there are some members here that I already know there political affiliation because of the amount of crap they post. This forum isn't a political forum & it tends to get heated because members don't know how to walk away from a difference of opinion. The post has no agenda & was a funny, satire.

If the office-holder is doing anything unethical or inappropriate, then I'm opposed to it too.

The problem is though that both sides have politicians that have become millionaires or billionaires due to unethical reasons. I would venture to guess most people who are self made probably made some unethical choices along the way. The reason I hate Bloomberg is because he is pushing his agenda and I hate any politician who does it left or right or center. What Bloomberg did to my district is horrifying and we will be pushed for years to come by electing an unqualified nut job over qualified politicians. What he is doing about the whole pop thing is an invasion of privacy and people have every right to drink as much soda as they want and if they get fat it's their fault, not his.

The purpose I dislike Bloomberg is because he is forcing his plan and I dislike any politician who does it remaining or right or middle, What Bloomberg did to my region is horrible and we will be forced for decades to come by choosing an untrained nut job over certified political figures.....
