Oh yea, we love us some Charles Ramsey in Cleveland right now! Such a hero. It really strikes me how at first he thought it was just a typical domestic violence situation. How many times have any of us heard neighbors fighting and screaming and assumed it was just some chick getting beat on but that it was her choice to stay, or seen women outside crying or something, and just decided to mind our own business? I know I have, but next time, I'm really going to make a conscious effort to at least stop and say 'are you okay,' because this just goes to show that you NEVER know what's really going on.
This really is an amazing story. The neighborhood where the guy snatched those girls from is pretty lively, a lot of people out walking around or sitting outside when the weather is decent, so the fact that he was able to take them and then hold them all in one house for ten years is just crazy. Unfortunately, it looks like the police really dropped the ball several times because now it's coming to light that a man saw the guy take Gina and called police with a license plate number, and various neighbors called about seeing and hearing strange things coming from the house over the years, plus police were actually at the door for an unrelated matter at one point. I can't even imagine what he did to them all those years, but at least they are ALIVE and now FREE.
