But...that's the point of having "main" threads sweetie - if you dont have a unique, unheard of before situation or question, then it more than likely ISN'T thread-worthy.Not saying it isnt POST worthy though, just simply saying that if its something just pertaining to one person's dilemma as opposed to a topic that encompasses ALL of us,then usually its just best to write about it in an active main thread or a thread pertaining to your situation.
This wasn't real clear to me when I first joined either, and I started a couple new threads that I now KNOW could have just been posted in an already existing thread,as opposed to making a brand new one-something MOST of us are guilty of doing when we first started out here.
Certain topics that pertain to all or most of us that can stand on their own are what is considered "news" or thread-worthy such as "tags on SM" "GOLD shows on SM" "TV GOLD shows" "stupid annoying shit I've heard on cam" etc, whereas a thread that pertains to just one person that isnt absolutely unique and/or perplexing/mind-boggling/has potential to start a huge debate or outcry etc such as "gawd,my day sucked" or "is anyone having encoder issues today?" usually has its own little place (as a post) in a much bigger, active thread that relates to the issue/situation at hand.
Please dont take it personally or think the mods are being unfair - I assure you they aren't reading threads and saying "NOPE! TOO BORING! NOT UNIQUE ENOUGH! AXE IT,JUST AXE IT,DELETE THAT SHIT ASAP!!! HELL,LET'S JUST BAN HER WHILE WE ARE AT IT!"

It really is just to keep the place more organized, there are literally thousands and thousands of threads and it makes it extremely hard to navigate them and find the information needed if everything is scattered about in 800 threads for just one topic.Combining them actually HELPS not just you but future members to come, and it also gives you a better chance of getting answered by the other members as well.
Welcome to the forum by the way!
