Sad now i know why im nervous of posting a question

I realize there is a thread to read on sm here, but i was just inquiring about if anyone else had any difficulty with the site today. I have noticed in the past others posting about it and their question wasn't moved. I know most of you are sick and tired of the same stuff but gosh sorry if i dont have a "unique unheard of question" to ask here. No wonder i don't want to post for fear of being hauled off to the thread police. Just saying

Actually, all of the questions about SM difficulty today/lately were all posted in the Streamate thread. Your thread was simply combined with it. No big deal. No issue. Just keeping everything in one place.

But...that's the point of having "main" threads sweetie - if you dont have a unique, unheard of before situation or question, then it more than likely ISN'T thread-worthy.Not saying it isnt POST worthy though, just simply saying that if its something just pertaining to one person's dilemma as opposed to a topic that encompasses ALL of us,then usually its just best to write about it in an active main thread or a thread pertaining to your situation.

This wasn't real clear to me when I first joined either, and I started a couple new threads that I now KNOW could have just been posted in an already existing thread,as opposed to making a brand new one-something MOST of us are guilty of doing when we first started out here.

Certain topics that pertain to all or most of us that can stand on their own are what is considered "news" or thread-worthy such as "tags on SM" "GOLD shows on SM" "TV GOLD shows" "stupid annoying shit I've heard on cam" etc, whereas a thread that pertains to just one person that isnt absolutely unique and/or perplexing/mind-boggling/has potential to start a huge debate or outcry etc such as "gawd,my day sucked" or "is anyone having encoder issues today?" usually has its own little place (as a post) in a much bigger, active thread that relates to the issue/situation at hand.

Please dont take it personally or think the mods are being unfair - I assure you they aren't reading threads and saying "NOPE! TOO BORING! NOT UNIQUE ENOUGH! AXE IT,JUST AXE IT,DELETE THAT SHIT ASAP!!! HELL,LET'S JUST BAN HER WHILE WE ARE AT IT!" It really is just to keep the place more organized, there are literally thousands and thousands of threads and it makes it extremely hard to navigate them and find the information needed if everything is scattered about in 800 threads for just one topic.Combining them actually HELPS not just you but future members to come, and it also gives you a better chance of getting answered by the other members as well.

Welcome to the forum by the way!

Also...there are many camsites, not just SM and a lot of us girls aren't even on SM, just as a lot of us aren't in the US (which gets forgotten sometimes too). So it's much better that posts like "anyone having any problems today?" are added to the main site thread than lots of individuals ones like that filling up the page.

Everyone here has to answer to the same 'thread police'.

    Something to consider.

...there's really nothing that I can add to what Briadda said!

Technical information on how to keep track of your posts/threads:

By default, you're subscribed to every thread you've commented on. A good way to keep track of threads/posts you've made and things you'd like to re-comment on is your "subscribed threads" folder. If we do have to move or merge your thread, you'll still have access to it there. Top bar, "Forum" under that you'll see, "Quick Links." Click that to see, "subscribed threads." If your thread is moved, you'll see it under the same name, just moved into a new sub forum. If your thread is merged, it may keep the same name as you gave it but it will probably change names to the name of the thread it's been merged with. If we had to delete your thread, you'll get an email that will tell you why it was deleted.
