    Default Newbie money

I'm considering stripping during college to pay bills and tuition but I'm worried about supporting myself and making money as a new dancer. What would you ladies expect a newbie to make per week? I have little pole dancing practice but I think I could give a decent lapdance. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

We have no information about your location or your appearance. Not sure how you think an international stripping forum is going to come up with numbers that are meaningful for your situation.

Either provide more info or do a search. Preferably the latter, since it's likely that your location has been discussed already.

From what I've read on here, Houston isn't great these days. It's a huge extras city.

Even with that info, there is no way we can make an accurate prediction. Some girls waltz in and make hundreds from the get-go, others take a while to hit their stride, and still others never quite get past a low threshold of earnings. The very nature of this business is inconsistency and unpredictability. You will never know how much you will walk out of the club with at the end of your shift - hell, sometimes you may walk out in the red because you didn't even make back your house fee. All you can do is hit up a club and give it a shot.

If you decide to dance, West Texas is in a huge oil boom, especially Odessa. Plus, the clubs are smaller and pretty laid back so it's a good place for a newbie to start. My club is pretty good about showing new dancers the ropes and offering support. The first time a new girl goes onstage for example, a lot of us will line the stage with customers and tip, show you how to walk in your heels,, are happy to explain how stages and VIP work. As far as techniques for making money, some girls might give tips but what works for one girl won't necessarily work for you. Some new girls bank their first night, some (like me) struggle to find footing at first. You're the only one who can determine the money you make. Good luck.

Also, when I go to Odessa, I make my money early. After midnight it's more of a party club scene and I don't work well in that crowd. Five to ten is a good time frame when oil field guys come in and spend money.

There isn't any "average" but if you work smart you can make very good part time money while in school.

When I first started, I had the same concerns as you. I was so worried that since I wasn't getting a guaranteed hourly wage that I wouldn't be able to make enough money. I remember when I came in to do my audition, I expressed this to the manager, and he said, "Listen, I GUARANTEE you will make more money than you make at your current job." I was so skeptical of this, and now I think back and I can't believe I was ever worried about not making at least $9/hour or so, lol. Obviously, no one here can tell you what you will make or anything like that, but I'm willing to bet that if you read up on the advice here on SW and dedicate yourself to maintaining a somewhat regular schedule at the club, you will make plenty of cash. In case you are interested, I started dancing in Phoenix in the middle of the summer on the dayshift (slow shift, during the slowest time of the year in AZ) and for my first couple weeks, I think I made about $100/day. (Not bad, but not what most girls in my area would consider "good" money) Once I got the hang of hustling customers, my money improved. At least where I am, $100 a day wouldn't be too hard for a newbie to make. You'll never know until you go in and audition! Don't be scared!!!
