Stripper resumes to aid in travel dancing...

    Useful or useless?

Not sure how useful it would be at clubs (maybe top clubs would have use for it) but I don't see how having an entertainment resume can hurt someone who is in this field, especially if you are looking for other work that isn't just dancing. I just got a small role in an upcoming TV show and my agent made me make an entertainment resume... I included the trophy I won at my club's entertainer awards, where I've worked at, and now I have the TV role to ad to my resume (I play a stripper, lol). It may come in handy for other productions related to stripping/sex/entertainment. It's always good to be professional.

Travel dancing? Nah. It's basically unheard of unless you're a feature dancer with credits (though I still wouldn't call that a resume), so it'll just come off as weird and honestly a little inexperienced, since that's just not how this industry operates.

That's what I thought too. I saw someone mention it in another post and thought that MAYBE it would appear professional, but strip club managers would just kind of roll their eyes at it and dismiss you in fear of having another high-maintenance, crazy dancer on their hands.

It's not necessary-there's no point going to all that effort when your audition can do the talking for you! If you have experience, state it in the audition or when talking to the manager, or on your application form if there's a section for it .

no, every club I've auditioned for has asked for a short list of where ive worked either on the app or verbally. so when I auditioned at a new club here in lv for ex, the manager asked me where I've worked and I have him 3 local names and then said I worked a lot in la and nyc.
