Our ATM machine broke about three months ago. Now, men have to run their card for dance dollars, which requires a club fee that the ATM wouldn't. If they want to take out 200 dollars, they have to pay 250 and the extra fifty is the club fee. I cannot tell you how many times a customer has changed his mind about multiple VIP's or champagne room over this. They intend to take out the price required for a private hour but when they hear the club percentage, they refuse to run their card. Management says the ATM will not be repaired and the "new system" is there to stay. We are a small club in a small town; most customers are farmers, military, or oilfield, and they don't like feeling jipped. When men agree they want a champagne but refuse to be charged so much extra for "club fees," management suggests the customer drive to a gas station down the interstate and use their ATM...talk about a mood killer. I've lost potential regulars, multiple champagne rooms, and many of the customers who go ahead and pay the fee say they'll never come back. The visible broken ATM, combined with the new mandatory ten dollar vip bracelet charge has men feeling like they're being ripped off. The vip bracelet, ok, whatever. The ATM sitting right next to where cards are run, and 15 to 20% club fee is insane to me. Is this kind of thing normal in other clubs? Is there a way to persuade customers into paying the club fee? When guys get annoyed with it, it's hard for me to encourage my sale when it makes me feel like we're all a bunch of crooks. I like to form a fun rapport with my customers and my hustle is all "non hustle and genuine interest." That image goes out the window if I suddenly start pressuring him to do something that makes him feel like he's being extorted.

Square just updated their terms to reflect it because a lot of escorts were using them.
