I need my battery in my macbook replaced soon (it's a newer model so it'd be safer/easier to just have Apple install it).. there are also issues with my trackpad going on. I'm good with internal things and simple hardware repairs, but this is likely due to a faulty battery from what I've read.
However, like most of you I have all kinds of dirty things of myself on this computer. Should I hide my pictures/bookmarks really good, or just say, "aw, screw it, whatever" and leave it as is. What do you guys do to prep your computer before sending it to someone for repairs, or even maybe letting someone else use it? Has a repair person ever remarked on something that was on your computer? I'd ideally like to get a computer for work and a computer for personal. I should also probably transfer a lot of the dirty stuff to a usb or external hard drive.
And okay, wow, as soon as I started typing this post my trackpad magically started working right again.Thank you, camming goddess!

Btw I do the same thing with non-camming personal info. I also use Crashplan to backup... I highly recommend them!
