    Mind Blowing Work in my home (ghetto) city or travel?

    So, I've danced for private parties for almost 5 years but have never worked in a club. The PP's in this town are getting too rough, too ghetto, too full of extras. I'm playing with the idea of trying to dance at a club before I resort back to camming. The 2 clubs in my town are pretty laughable. One is like a honky tonk bar with pool tables & the other is in the worst part of town & known for being trolled by pimps constantly. There's a nice Deja Vu about an hour and a half from me ... I know most ladies here don't care for that chain but if I didn't dance there, the next closest nice clubs are 3-4 hours in any direction & I really don't want to be staying overnight after I work. Any ideas on what I should do??

    Well, I wouldn't suggest the one trolled by pimps, can you give the pool table one a go, & check out the Deja Vu?

    LOL right ... oooh trolled by pimps, doesn't that sound like fun! Thanks girl. I think I am going to try the pool table one; I'm just a little hesitant bc a few girls I used to work PP's with work there & we don't get along. I can ignore them & just work .... they, however, will prob try to make it miserable for me. LOL.

    If I list the following clubs in somewhat reasonable driving distance from me, could anyone tell me which they think would be best to try? I am 5'8", 130 lbs, blonde/blue & tan with fake boobs.

    * Golddiggers Fresno CA
    * City Lights Fresno CA
    * Deja Vu Bakersfield CA
    * Exotic Kitty's Bakersfield CA
    * Spearmint Rhino Santa Maria CA
    * Cheetah's Sunnyvale CA
    * Gold Club Centerfolds Rancho Cordova CA

    I don't know the places, (midwesterner here) but you sound like you'd do great anywhere! Wherever you go, there's going to be some jerk somewhere to cause probs. in my experience..I mean it's a possiblity

    Yeah, I just might. Everything else is such a far drive, especially when you turn around & drive back home after the club closes.

    Honky Tonk strip clubs are super fun.

    Just to clarify, by honky tonk I mean it's brightly lit, dirty, full of guys who (in their own reviews admit to) only going to drink cheap beer, filled with pool tables no one ever uses and one of the two stages is behind the bar... LOL.

    Thank you, I have. Some of it is helpful but some is very outdated. I also joined TUSCL to try to see reviews but quickly learned it was more geared towards custies. LOL. I agree, I would rather be more anonymous. This is a small town & therefore small dancing community. I won't go into a long explanation but most dancers/managers know who I am. I can't relocate bc I have a lease I share with a rommate on a house until next March but I'm totally game to travel. I have a girl friend who dances at the Rhino in Vegas & her husband works at the Crazy Horse Too when it reopens (I know the pitfalls of thinking Vegas fixes everything ... I've read just about every thread related to it LOL). She invited me out to work but I'm still debating it. I called the clubs today & got info on auditioning. The Rhino & Sapphire seemed to have conflicting info about whether to go with a sheriffs card/biz license or to get referral from them & THEN go get it + scope, but whatever. LV is about 5 hour drive from me & I have a new reliable car so it wouldn't be too tricky.
