I signed up, it looks neat, they also have a skype plug in, so u can charge by the min. Not sure if u get much exposure, and the guy actually has to sign up, but it may be worth it if u actually get traffic as well. ill let u kno how it goes.

Oh this is interesting. I notice once you transfer it out you keep anywhere from 75%-80% when you transfer the funds out.
Wouldn't that be funny if all sites basically crashed because men just logged in directly to skype and browsed available models?
I think Skype has realized just how many cam models use their service but don't actually use them as a billing platform. This makes it one stop shopping. It would be even better if they had bulk time purchases that auto shuts the cam feed off when the clock runs down. For now I'm pleased with this idea.
Also how will they handle chargebacks?
This is such a good idea! Hopefully it gets some good traffic in time. I signed up now I gotta have someone try it with me. Thanks sophiesecrets!
Ohhh, interesting, going to sign up now![]()
No, I don't think this is Skype realizing anything. (In fact, it's against Skype's terms of service to use it for XXX shows but they will overlook it unless you make it obvious).
They are not affiliated with Skype at all I don't think.
The site is based in Ireland.
I wonder who they are using as a processor. Nothing in the terms of service about chargebacks at all. hmm...
I like the idea but I don't like them claiming ownership of our screen-names and images. I would have to use an alternate Skype ID for shows with them which would suck.
It pays out via Redpass so I'm guessing its Zombaio?
yeah, this concerns me. I'm not sure how Skype the company will react to a commercial organization using Skype as a fundamental aspect of a commercial venture. Even beyond the porn thing (and this new product makes it very clear that skyprivate deals with 'hard core adult material'), they are breaking Skype TOS in that they are not using Skype for 'personal business communications' (the only exception to the no commercial content rule). I'm concerned about the long term sustainability for this company and what that means to the security of chicas funds (I'm not clear on whether they use a zombaio sub account system or whether this company acts as middle man between chicas and their funds)
^^^this is an issue as well, particularly since it appears that this company has little web presence. If chicas have to drive their own traffic under an alternate name/Skype handle this creates extra work and what sounds like a lot of hassle.
I gotta admit I've become a bit cynical about companies designed to facilitate independent cam chicas for a chunk of their earnings. On the one hand some offer valuable benefits that are hard to attain as individuals, on the other some of them offer nothing that indy chicas can't easily provide for themselves at much less risk and cost.
this new payment option strikes me as belonging to the latter category, on first glance at least
thanks for raising this, OP
yea... i didnt think about the skype tos... for those of us that rely on skype heavily<<---- like this gal, that might b a concern. ive already had one skype acct banned, so now i keep all my contacts backed up. But would still b a pain, may have to ask about that. Thats y i love u ladies, ur such smarties!
The guy from sky private answered a few of my questions, thought u ladies might want to see.
we will make available in the next few days public profiles section, so that the members can find the modes on skyprivate.com also (so, a new source of members for models)
about : "bulk time purchases that auto shuts the cam feed off when the clock runs down"
SkyPrivate.com can be used also for sendig and receiving money (like Paypal but legal for adult). So, the member can send the money up front, before the show, or just use pay per minute and stay on that private as long as he have funds (or model shuts down the call).
about chargebacks :
- all the skype videocalls made by members to the models that have our skype plugin running will be loged (we track the time & duration of the call and the price per minute) so there will be no chargebacks for pay per minute, ofcourse only if no fraud is made
Think about this: if a guy stays in private for 25 minutes, and he wants to make a chargeback because he got tricked by the model, then why did he stay for 25 minutes long? in that case, he can not ask and get chargeback
I asked about
you can use SkyPrivate.com without makeing your ID public or be listed anywhere if you choose so.
- we payout via Bank, Payoneer, Redpass and maybe in the future our own SkyPrivate card. what do you think about this card? would you ask for it and use it? (it would be the same as the others)
about Skype TOS.
Some time ago it changed. Also, we provide a service for models, so you need to know and accept skype TOS also.
about our future relationship with skype - if that will ever be - I let my business department to handle it.
I asked about them claiming ownership of our screen names and Images and he didnt know what i was talking about, i had better read again! anyway, thought yall might wana see.
Ok now this really worries me.
This company apparently does not understand the difference in a chargeback and a refund.
Now I'm wondering if he even has a legit adult payment processor. It's expensive to get set up with one so a lot of startups attempt to bypass the process and are quickly shut down when their processor discovers they are using it for high-risk (adult) transactions.
Even CCbill has chargebacks. He has no control over whether the customer commits fraud and contacts his credit card.
Even with proof, chat logs and all that the credit cards will usually side with the customer. So when it happens (and it is just a matter of time, always, with adult billing or any processor for that matter) is he planning to cover this for us?
If he is using CCBill however, the nice thing is that particular customer will be banned for life. He can try to switch cards, use a different address, but they will never, ever let him back in. It's one of the best processors because of that.
^^^^^like GG wrote, since one of the payout options is Redpass they're probably using zombaio. However, since they also offer payoneer (zombaio does not) I'm guessing this site is not using a sub-account system, which means that if they fold there's no guarantee chica's will receive their funds. This has happened before; it's really important that each of us pays close attention to who controls our $$$$. Considering that zombaio holds funds for a month before releasing them...any chica who uses this site heavily as a primary processor could end up with a large balance carrying in her account, a balance over which she has no control, or access to but for through the site.
re: the chargeback thing, I cringed when I read the response from the site. Like Laurie wrote it appears this site knows little about how cb's actually work. It's not the site that decides whether to grant a cb/refund, it's the bank. No adult processor is safe from cb's, all one can do is choose a system that scrubs the hell out of customer purchases.
another thing that confuses me, from the skyprivate model agreement:
3.11 Model in particular is not allowed to:
(i) Deliver Content that amounts to hard pornography such as but not only pedophilia, zoophilia, urology or necrophilia;
(emphasis mine)
we all get that cp and zoophilia ish is illegal, but the model contract refers to 'hard pornography'. I'm not clear on how far this definition extends; are toy shows considered 'hard pornography' (ie: does 'hard pornography' mean something different than 'hard core pornography')?
^^^I think you read the contract correctly the first time. From the model contract:
4.5 Model grants SkyPrivate Europe a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, transferable, sublicensable, unlimited and exclusive license on the Content provided through the Service to Visitors and Members, including but not limited to copyrights and publicity rights such as screen name and image to in particular reproduce, adapt, modify, translate, publish, make available, publicly perform, display, broadcast, retransmit or distribute them in any way. Model understands that it is therefore not entitled to use its screen name and/or Content provided through the Service outside of the scope of this Agreement.
It's relatively simple for a chica to get her own zombaio account...I wish this site well but without some major clarification on a few hella important points here the risks appear to far outweigh any potential rewards.

i signed up and installed the plug in. could u penitently this use to get money "gifts" from people by using the prepay for show feature have the guys just put the money in the account and not give him a show. (not talking about scamming just like for guys who want to give lumps of money to be nice)
-edited-
Okay so I woke up today with 2 new contact request both saying that they paid for a show through SkyPrivate went to check my account and nothing was there. This site has become a big waste of time I was going to use it for contributions but I better stick with CMD.
Hi kinkins,
I am Ashley, customer support from SkyPrivate.com
That is half correct: The member funded his account with money and was searching for models. I guess you has not online on skype at that time, but we can see that the client paid other models. So, he can be right when he initially said he paid money (he funded his account) for a show with you. Just that he spent it with someone else.
Even so, models, please do not believe any member or potential customer that says that he has money and will send later. Our system can be used just against that: prepaid shows or pay in real time with the "pay per minute" Skype plugin.
SM owns names too.

This is common in MOST cam site contracts. It was for Imlive, cams.com & naked when I read their contracts.
Opps, in fact most porn companies have this in their contracts. They tell me it is for marketing reasons so affiliates can legally use the pics & your names for marketing, but always sounded like BS to me.
Several years ago a major porn star Flower Tucci had a site through Reality Kings. When the contract was over, they told her she could no longer use her porn name due to that clause in the contract. Making no doubt in my mind they are all shady.
Smooches,
Sam
If they are taking that large of a percentage one has to assume they use part of it for the chargebacks.
In my opinion, all cam sites should record the interaction and when the guy goes to do a chargeback, send the interaction to the credit card company to show he did get & was happy with the service he got. PROOF who is trying to pull the fast one him or the model. Bet that would stop many of the charge backs..
Skype sees the potential for the income from this that they are not getting from being a non-adult venue.
Ireland is the new tax haven for major companies especially since most of them have to find a new place after what happened in Cypress earlier this year.
I sincerely hope it works out, seems interesting. No free chat...
Smooches,
Sam
I am sure, because they are new to this many new problems & kinks to be worked out. There is a learning curve for all to any new business ventures.
I really do hope this can work out. It would be nice to get a break from free chat.
Just to clarify though, Skype has nothing at all to do with this venture. They are not linked in any way except for the fact that the software is being used.
I have no doubt they would block us all if publicity got out that one of the major things it's used for is paid cam shows, plus the fact that you don't need to pay Skype for the use at all. I'm sure Skype would either block us or find a way to try to charge us.
