Default New Implants - Now I have a rash?

    Hey ladies,

I had Mentorgel implants done two weeks ago. They're submuscular and they went in through my areola. I had my stitches out last week and they glued the bandages to my scar area. Fast forward about another week, and now I have an awful rash on the lower part of my boobs. It itches like hell and it's all patchy and red. It seems to get a little better with benadryl and hydrocortisone cream. Some Googling shows that some women have a reaction to the glue they use to glue the bandages. I'm not sure if it's a reaction to that, since it took so long for the rash to appear. Has anyone else had this issue?

Maybe its the glue especially if you have sensitive skin ... Do you get a follow-up visit with the doctor to address this?

I do, but it's not for a while. They said to just use cortisone. Thanks!

I'm no BA expert, but when I use even Band-Aids, I get a rash that can take a long time to go away (over 24 hours) after removing the bandage. I'd imagine it'd take even longer for bandages that have been on for a long time.

It sounds to me like a very clear topical reaction to the bandages. I wouldn't worry about it! The steroid cream will clear it up.
