Default Newbie in need of advice.

Hi ladies, I'm new to SW and already I'm in love with it. There's a lot of advice and information here. I've been considering dancing for about 3 years on and off, only this time I am more serious and dedicated to the idea of going out for an audition.. but my nerves are off the charts. I'm normally a confident young woman but I am so intimidated.. I think mainly because I don't fit the status quo of an exotic dancer. Yes there are all kinds of dancer looks, shapes and sizes but with me being a newbie and not having any previous dance history I wonder if I can land the gig at a club like the gold club or even hustlers (a top notch sc). Please help ladies.

I am 5'8, 150 lbs ( my weight is proportionate because of my height), i'm athletic and love to work out. I dont have huge tits or a huge butt but they are nicely plump lol. I am African American, I have shoulder length dreadlocks that are nicely maintained and I have tattoos. I am also a student so I am pretty articulate and well spoken. I currently have a day job where I am the only person of African descent and my coworkers love having me around.

Ive been practicing in the mirror in my stripper platforms and I'm getting better everyday.

girl the only real advice i can give you is go and audition already!! 3 years is a long time to put off doing something. start at a more casual club if that makes you feel more comfortable and then when you have more confidence and experience go audition at a top notch place! from the pics, you look beautiful. don't worry and just go for it! every stripper has to start somewhere and we are all terrified when we first get on that stage. don't think just go

I was super nervous but thankfully I started on dayshifts with less of a crowd so it wasnt as nerve wrecking. It may help to have a trusted friend, family member who wont judge you but be supportive as you get your start. Do a bit of research on the clubs youre interested in, then take action!

Life is too damn short to be trying to make a decision for 3 years, lol. Just freakin go for it. If you don't like it, don't go back. Don't wait til you're 80. AND YOU ARE SOOO EFFING BEAUTIFUL!

YOU ARE SOOOOOOOOO GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!! No one is a good dancer when they audition! Everyone is scared shitless and dances awkwardly. We all had to audition to get the jobs, and no one is expecting you to knock their socks off. You'll never know if those clubs will hire you if you don't go. If they don't, you can try a club that is a little bit less upscale to start, and then try again at the top club once you gain some experience. ( I think I've read on here that sometimes top clubs don't like to hire brand new dancers) Lower scale does not mean lower money, though! Just go in with your dancer bag, tell the manager that you would like to audition, but you're new and a little nervous, and would he mind if you sat and had a drink and watched what the other girls do for a little while? You're not gonna be the first brand new girl that's ever walked through the doors, scared shitless, they'll understand, promise! The longer you put it off, the more money you're NOT making at the club
