    Dizzy American Express Bluebird

I received this email from them today:

We are writing to inform you that we are making a change to your Bluebird Account for added security.

The Bluebird Member Agreement has been modified to reflect an update to the amount of funds that can be added to your Bluebird Account from a linked checking or savings account. Effective immediately, the limit for this type of transaction has been reduced from $10,000.00 to $2,000.00 total per month.

I wonder what made them change their policy. That is a huge difference in money.

Wary of drug dealers/money laundering? I suppose it is to make way for lower limits on vanilla reloads.

I just saw this in my email today. Not too surprised really. Keep in mind that this is a public forum and is searchable in the search engines. A lot of these companies have teams of people and software that search for word tag combinations on the net. Ex: american express + webcam + phonesex, or blue bird + porn + merchant account. Companies will make changes based on these findings. My fiance does this sort of work and he gives me the lowdown on whats what. It's for this very reason that I'm hesitant to share my merchant ideas. Sorry don't mean to be a Debbie Downer, I just don't think a lot of people realize this.

Honestly, I think all these companies have to know what they are being used for. I think they totally know what's up. They make shit tons of money off us.

Of course they know. That's the point I was making. But its only going to be for a limited amount of time. Especially when they are a startup company. A new venture just getting up off of the ground. And as soon as they get to comfortable levels of doing business thats when they make "changes". Decreasing the limits. Scaling back on their promises. It happens all the time. They use us to get started but dump us as soon as their companies gain more reputable customers. Non-adult with fewer chargebacks.

I got the same thing... Oh well I've hated bluebird since I waited on customer service for hours stopped using it after that.
