    Default Heel less shoes

Are they weird/hard to walk and dance in? I went searching for a local shop that might have them but had no luck. I found a pair online that I really want, but hate spending money on something I'm unsure of....

These are the shoes I want.

And if anyone has them, the "heel" height is 8" right? Some websites say 5.5" but others 8." Looking at them, I don't understand how they could be 5.5" unless that's a tiny shoe size they photographed.

I've never walked in 8in only 3-5in and they are actually very comfortable. If you can walk in platforms then you can walk in those, it just looks harder then it really is.

They are fun, but I wouldn't wear them ITC-they may not be allowed, they look VERY alternative and might not be appealing to customers and they may not be comfortable or easy to dance in.

They are freaking ugly! Just as bad as those clompy things. Goth night is not at the strip club. At least get cute clear ones.

91828_1273600203.jpg They could work!!!! But, not at the club. Shock rock in a different way. Not with shoes that you can hurt yourself in.

I wouldn't wear those. I am pretty sure I could WALK in them but I am not too sure about dancing. I want to try now!

See I'm divided on the ease and comfort level after doing more research. People seem to either find them more difficult than normal heels or better and more comfortable. I'm really hoping its the latter because I need a break from my normal dancing shoes and I want something visually different as well.

Can't you find something cuter?!!! You will look like a Hot Topic wearing 15 year old.

    look at these

    http://www.amazon.com/Leopard-Slides...stripper+wedge

    http://www.amazon.com/Gothic-Black-S...stripper+wedge

I really like the wedges made my dance shoe brands. It seems like you may be "edgy" or whatever. I was there once!

Yeah..... I'm glad you feel ok attacking my personal style, especially since you've never seen me, how I dance, or where I work! IMO this site and its member should be more concerned with supporting dancers than bashing them, but hey, it's the internet. Have fun sitting behind the safety of your computer screen. You know, I almost forgot the reason I rarely visit this forum, but thanks for reminding me!

And really, take a leason in tact from simone if you feel it necessary to express an opposing opinion.

    Well... that escalated quickly.

Calm down. Nothing strippername wrote should inspire that much butthurt. She was expressing her opinion regarding the damn shoes... it had nothing to do with you, your style, or the way you dance. You asked for opinions... you got 'em. Relax.

Are the shoes interesting? Possibly, it could be a good ice breaker.
Are they particularly good looking? No, they look cheap... they look sloppy (again, it's not about you... it's just a comment about the shoes) Look at the pics below, there are nicer options out there:

    http://shoerazzi.com/wp-content/uplo...dgens-copy.jpg
    http://www.obsessedwithshoes.com/wp-...ps-300x225.jpg

They seem gimmicky, but hey, whatever floats your goat.

As for the original question: PinkKittie--- find a store with a decent return policy and buy the shoes, try them out, and decide for yourself. Look up the brand and model name/number for that design to find the best options.

That's actually what I was thinking.
But back to the shoes, which I think are really cute and speaks to who you are as a dancer, I haven't danced on stage in them but I have danced in a club with them. I know, I know club dance and stage dance are 2 different things but if you think about it when your on stage you don't put you weight on the heel, your weight is mainly on the ball of your foot so, at least in my mind, the lack of a pencil thin heel should not prevent you from dancing well. Now if you get the 8in ones but you've never danced in 8in platforms, I would say practice first and make sure your scared of the height but other then that you should do great.

I am pretty sure I can guess you wear stripes and socks on your hands from that weird freak out.

I was recommending sexier options. You can look however you want. I like it. I have an "alt" look too. In a club it is nice to balance it out. I am sure you are a sex machine even when you are wearing clunky shoes. Probably more of a sex machine when you aren't.
