Default Help from people who have Escorted. I am new to it...

Hello all, I was wondering if anyone could help me out here. I want to try escorting. I am a dancer but would like to give this a try, as well. So I went and applied on a seemingly popular escort site online and got a response from a man. He said to call him. I did. He said the rates are 500 - 1000 an hour and the agency keeps 50 percent if it is 1000 and 40 percent if it is 500. He said that on the days I am available, they will call me and tell me where to go..the room. and then after I deposit their cut into a bank account. there is no paper work or anything....So, I am wondering if this is normal? Is this how agencies work? I hope some of you guys can help me out before I try it. I would really appreciate it! thanks!

Have you searched for any reviews of the agency?

Some agencies work that way. Nobody wants a paper trail.

Their cut seems both a little high and a bit backwards. The standard split is 60 for you ; 40 % for them and with higher rates their cut usually goes DOWN. Some agencies take less.
Based on your post it seems they want you to do outcalls which makes the split seem even more unfair as there is no hotel room for you and/or the agency to pay for.
Some agencies make you pay for the room ; a few pay for it up front and then deduct it from your cut ; a few split it with you.
Do your research and get as much info on the agency as you can.

Yes that is why that most agencies work but I strongly advise you to work as an independent. You set the tone and get to keep ALL of your money.

If you have never escorted before in my opinion you may be better off testing the water with an established agency - learn the ropes a little before you totally jump out on your own - just check out the agency as best as you can - if it is a well known one you may find info here or check the reviews - they do take some of the money but they also do some of the work - the irritating part in my opinion -- again just my opinion

I am with Nikki and I also agree to start off with an established agency. I know a lot of girls on here are all about going independent, but in my opinion, being new AND starting straight off without an agency can be dangerous. I haven't been doing this a million years or anything, but I've always been with agencies n think I will. If they are a good service and SCREEN THE GUYS snd worry about your safety and take all your calls and advertise for you. ..it is soooo worth the standard cut. Just look up information on yhe agency. Some things to watch out for: money laundering (big cases often stem from that), improper screening...outcalls to shady places..I feel uncomfortable with a guy running it but maybe that's just me. Just do your research. Good luck

    thanks so much you all!

Well, I have waited to start. I just did not wanna jump in flying blind. The thing that worries me the most is saying or doing the wrong thing and getting arrested. As a dancer, that would ruin it for me ....

I do wanna dance too..but also have this in my back pocket, you know? I don't mind sharing with an agency id A) they screen guys and are well established, and B) they do not do anything crazy...

the whole, 'meeting guys at the hotel' seems really risky to me

No one really uses agencies these days, most guy go to independents so I would advise using a brillant screener like Phonestarz or work for an agency that promotes you independently like Hush Entertainment Group. They take way less of a cut and have more industry experience than most agencies. And not to mention that guy promising you $500-1000 an hour is BS, those rates are out of the ordinary and girls that work at those rates barely get 2 calls per month. Be careful cause there are some guys that email lots of girls pretending to be an agency then they send you on a call TO THEM and then he doesn't pay you, so beware.
