Default First audition ever, fail. Advice?

Hi ladies, so I went out for an audition at the penthouse tonight and was told that I need more experience. I can't lie I am relieved that I got my "first" stage audition out of the way.. Now I know what to expect a little more, but man was I more nervous than ever!!! I actually forgot to take my top off.. Ha. And I didn't interact with the customers that were watching... I think I was just more concerned with not falling or embarrassing myself. W/e, it's done. The manager told me to come back once I get my experience up. Sooo what can I do to get better? I've been dancing in the mirror daily but I guess its not good enough. Can anyone leave some useful advice please?

Im supposed to start pole dancing classes this week so maybe that will help.

Well, there's nothing like on-the-job training.

I'd only recommend pole classes as a way of getting a bit more comfortable w/ dancing. Whether pole tricks will make you any better $$ depends more on the club/region than anything - I've worked in Fl & Tx & for the most part my acrobatics don't mean jack. Ppl where I've worked want ass tricks, not pole tricks. :S

Start at a mid-tier or or more dive-ish club to rack up a bit of experience, iron out your hustle, & once you've polished your stripper skills a bit, try again at this place. Make HH your bible & read thru the goldmine of experience that is this site.

Skip the pole dance classes and just remember to actually take your top off next time. I can almost guarantee that that is the reason you didn't get hired. If you can't take your top off in your audition, management doesn't think you'll be able to take it off on a regular basis during your stage shows.

dancing in the mirror and pole classes aren't going to do anything for you. just go to a place that's a little more casual and "dive-er" and gain experience. who knows, maybe you'll like working at a different place better and it'll be easier to get into your stripper-groove and make a lot! i was never a fan of high-end places , but it all depends on your hustle!

I second the dive idea. In my xp, guys like the new girls w/out much experience. Just play off mistakes with a giggle and a smile. It nausiates me to put on the dumb giggly act but hey, ya gotta do what ya gotta do to make that money. After you build your confidence move on to a club more of your liking. Also, don't be hard on yourself. Mistakes happen! Everyone on this forum has had some crazy embarassing moments!
I'd grab my trumpet and I'd do a stripper sound, like the old Louis Armstrong, real raspy. And the people would go nuts! Then I knew that the sexual, sensual, guttural sound, that throbbing sound, is where it's at.

I wouldn't be surprised if forgetting to take your top off had a lot to do with it. I get it, I've actually forgotten before, but during an audition it might make them think maybe you aren't ready or can't handle taking your clothes off in front of people.

I agree with previous comments. Cut your teeth at a dive for a month or two, and then try again.

Can I ask was this pec NY? If so I'm surprised they even auditioned you. They ask and if you have little experience they send you to scores west.
