    Default Thigh bruises....

So I'm new to dancing and I can pole dance (I don't have enough confidence in myself or courage. yet) but what I can do on the pole leaves me with awful bruising on my inner thigh. Looks like my husband beats the hell out of me lol. What can I do to stop bruising or cover them up while I'm in shorts...my family is starting to get suspicious and my horse back riding excuse is starting not to work

    Don't wear shorts. Lol.

I take iron pills and just try to be more aware of my movements. My bruise area is on my upper arm. I always seem to get them there!

I heard taking arnica is good, I think they have it in spray and oral form. I heard taking it by mouth works best, but I have never done it though. Iron is good too. You stop getting bruises after a while of practicing the same pole tricks, but then you get new ones once you try out newer ones.

Yeah, whenever I was learning new pole tricks I would get horrible bruises. A couple of customers thought I was getting beaten up (I told them that the pole had been beating me up lol) and some customers thought I got bruises for being freaky in bed lol.

Edit: forgot to add, maybe dermablend helps. I heard it helps to cover up tattoos, maybe it can work for bruises too.

I reserve pole moves for my home since I've never made more money by focusing on pole work in clubs. It's nice to have a couple of pretty tricks up your sleeve to bust out during slow hours, but generally, unless you're truly amazing on the pole, customers don't really care about pole work. They just don't understand how much skill it takes to do the more difficult moves. And time spent on the pole is time you could've spent chatting customers up at your tip rail. I'd recommend focusing on the customers and avoiding the pole bruises entirely.

put extra minty toothpaste on them whenever you're home, or asleep-- put some cling wrap over it and wear ratty sweats. the mint does something to make it fade like 3x or more faster.

Taking rutin and bioflavonoids supplements helps. Use arnica oil or vinegar (fades them) on the actual bruises. Avoid wearing shorts around your family or try not to do that particular pole trick if you don't want to keep bruising. Your body will eventually get used to it and toughen up though.

Yup! I was going to say arnica ointment. Put it on asap and it will help a ton.

And to cover them up I use Vichy DermaBlend. The coverup stick works miracles!

I'm a cam girl with super pale skin. I bruise very easily and they are so unsightly on cam. I've pretty much taken a week off till they go away! I am going to try Vichy Dermablend.

Might anyone have any other [cheap-ish] cover up suggestions?

    Thanks ladies!
