It is slow. Slow, slow, slow, like, book your vacations in June and July and don't even bother, slow.
Like, I work at Christie's (though I'm on a break right now) and the last Saturday night I worked in May, we had probably 10 customers through the door. It was BAD.

Most of the girls that are still making money have regulars holding them up, or are on "new girl" money (we get influxes of new girls all summer, because the managers freak out when girls are taking vacations and the new girls realize there's no money... at the time, at least). Having a million clubs is not necessarily good, I feel like it dilutes the customer base.

You are going to dance 2x as hard for your money because the dances are $10 and stage tipping is very limited. $10 on a stage set is about the limit I've seen. The $10 dances also make it hard to sell VIP rooms, as it is obviously cheaper to stay on the floor.

Lots of guys out here that like to act like they have money when they don't. They can also smell the desperation in summer, so they are not hesitant to try to string along the dancers. It's quite an exhausting hustle right now. Lots of Mexicans and blue collar workers as well.

You'll need a license to work in Phoenix ($22) or Scottsdale ($135, fingerprints and all). I would check out one of the Christies (not Phoenix, management has been being douchenuggets and making shitty choices lately and I suspect driving much of the clientele out), or perhaps Skin (which is Scottsdale). Hi-Liter has a good day shift too, you could get in on some new girl money there. Many of the Christies girls have been running off to Bourbon Street Circus as well, but they are 90% blonde and fake tits, but you never know... you might stand out there if they'll hire you.

Thanks girl! I really had a quite a few girls tell me it was at least steady money out there. That's disappointing. Well, I guess phoenix is out. The furthest I've been is myrtle beach during golf season two years in a row and I went because a group of girls said it was sweet. And it actually turned out to be pretty good and I was super skeptical. So I figure I would take their same advice this time. You just completely changed my mind. thanks for the heads up!

And when you're used to making money on stage, the lack of stage money can be seriously infuriating. Guys sit there and ogle you for free, like they've never heard of tipping before. And try as you might to entice them to come up to your stage - they won't and don't.

Clubs like that effing suck. I mean, in the Midwest, even on a bad night when no one is buying dances (or on nights when you don't feel like hustling), you can usually count on making at least $100 from stage shows throughout the night.

Well the main club I work at is very similar to that. The stage is a dreadful 20 minutes. People just looking at you like a television. it's really irritating and discouraging but its common. I just never let it get to me cuz I know its much easier hustling lap dances. Like very easy. It's odd I know. I think the clubs I dance in with me being one of few or only black girl the farmers can be shy in approaching me. But wont hesitate in accepting lap dances.

On the other hand Im not trying to be on stage earning no money and then still unable to hustle any after that.. lol screw that.

Yeah, I'm curious who in their right mind would make a point to go to Phoenix in the summer to dance. It is NOT a destination for dancing period, IMHO.

The stage tipping thing has gotten out of hand... 3 years ago, I could count on at least a few dollars every stage. Now it's cause for celebration if you get anything. I've taken to laying on the stage... I'm not gonna work if you're not gonna tip me.

Just want to echo the sentiment of DON'T come here. I am fortunate enough to have regulars but seriously, if I didn't have them, I would be freakin SCREWED this summer. Hardly any customers and TONS of new girls every day. Phoenix and Scottsdale are awesome from January-April so come visit then!

Nice! My strategy is to pull a koala and sit at the top of the pole for as long as I can...

All businesses in Phoenix take a hit over the summer. No one wants to be here when it's 115* outside!

Any club out in the west parts is slow during summer (even Vegas right now!). Travel to cooler places in the summer and warmer places in the winter. It's really that simple. If you can't travel, then work extra hard during the times your club is hopping. Learn to ride out the bad times. There will always be a 'slow season' wherever you go IMO. But to answer your question, I've visited phx and typically it is slow for most girls during the summer months.

Bearing in mind that I worked there back in the '02-'04 timeframe, summers BLEW in Phoenix. I lived off pancakes during my first summertime there because I was too stupid to save. Second one, I just went to Colorado on vacation for 2 months.
