Default Stripper unretirement - advice for stage fright

A friend danced a couple of times a week as one of several part time jobs for 9-10 months. Never totally found her groove and has been "retired" for 2 years. Surprisingly she texted me that she is returning to the club, starting tomorrow. I don't recall her sharing that it was an issue but apparently the thing that she is most nervous about and dreading is her stage sets. Don't know the specifics of what in particular is of concern but any words of advice to pass along?

Good suggestion. I don't think she's familiar with this site. Thanks.

Go early when it's less customers, practice, and watch other dancers to get ideas for stage

It's like riding a bike. I swear. Once she gets over the initial jitters, the preemptive anxiety.... she's golden.

You see, strippers are a unique breed. We transform into Cinderella the moment we cross the club's threshold. No matter how long you're gone, the dim light, that "club smell", the music, etc. trigger a magical metamorphosis.

    After that.... Elation.
    After that..... Profit.

    Lather. Rinse. Repeat. Always Repeat...

    I wish her the best.

Dance to music that makes you feel sexy and beautiful and slowly and confidently pose like a glamour model from a magazine. Smile seductively and make lots of eye contact.

IMO the customers who spend the most tend to pay little attention to the stage, and focus more on the quality of interaction with the dancer. Yes there are clubs where dancers make alot of tips on the stage, but if the point if a dancer coming to take her clothes off is for $$$, the main emphasis really should be on selling VIPs and Champage rooms. That's where the money is.

Many clubs where I've worked, the top earners have had an arrangement with the dj(for an extra tip or fee) to skip stages altogether and just work the floor. Some clubs don't allow this but it need hurts to ask. Also, some clubs are pretty accommodating with newbies and unretirees, so she can ask the manager or dj to skip the first stage because its her first night.

Another stripper acquaintance of mine used the same term, riding a bike. I got a text from the unretiring friend just before her 1st stage that she was "sooo nervous". Apparently it all came back because when I did stop by for moral support a couple hours later (she was pretty insistent that I try and make it) her stages were just like 2 years ago and she was taking a continuous stream of customers for lap dances. In fact she had a hard time carving out the time for a couple for me!

I did text her while she was fretting during the less than 24 hours between rehiring and 1st shift about the slow (slow is sexy) and the eye contact. Eye contact isn't her style, she's quite shy but as I mentioned below she did just fine.

There is no formal policy on skipping stage but tipping and skipping is not unheard of, kept on the down low. That's typically nights when there's dozens of girls as opposed to afternoon (where they start the new and rehired girls) with ten or less.

I haven't talked with her in detail (she was BUSY) but I suspect she's good to go now with stage. Thanks for the thoughts.
