Default Birchbox (and other sample boxes)

Does anyone else on here subscribe to Birchbox? I have been for a little over a year now and really like it. I was just wondering if anyone else has tried it, or some other kind of sample box subscription? Birchbox is the only one I've tried.

My boyfriend tried the "man" version of Birchbox, but he didn't really care for it. I think because there aren't as many different kinds of products out there for guys, it gets old a lot faster. I mean, how many samples of shampoo/conditioner or beard wax does a person need? Plus it cost twice as much.

For those that aren't familiar with Birchbox, it's basically a monthly subscription that sends you samples of beauty/bath products. It's pretty fun, I'm always excited to get mine. I've gotten to try some really good products, and sometimes the samples they send you are pretty generous sizes. Their website is www.birchbox.com.

I like beauty army because you get to choose your samples or you can get them at random

I haven't tried any myself, although I do watch some beauty gurus on YouTube and they will talk about beauty box and test tube subscriptions. I like watching them "unbox" their boxes because I can actually see what's typically inside and what sizes the products come in. It's a good way of figuring out if that kind of subscription is really for you before spending the money. Just an idea

There's an article in Allure mag. about different sample programs, costs, pros/cons etc. I don't remember which issue, but it'd prob. be on their site, since they have their own sample program that includes the mag. subscription.
