Just a vent abt customer otc bullshit. I have a customer that comes in to see me once a month at my home club. He only comes in once a month b/c he lives several hrs away & is only in the area for reserve training (Army). I only contact him via txt to say lemme know when you're coming, & He always says smtg in the reply asking for otc meeting.
The first time he asked for otc we started talking abt dinner. I wasn't working that nite b/c of a knee injury, & it was a Friday. He balked when I said ok, we can meet for dinner, but you won't be getting my time for free. Seems the idea of paying for my company, on a nite when I would normally be making prime money did a hellish number on his appetite, but he's still been coming in for me when he's in town. Inevitably tho, he brings up otc at sm point while he's there.
Same business this wk, when he said he'd be coming on whatever date & said again he wants to meet for coffee. "Not Waffle House coffee, but real high-dollar coffee!" I can't help wondering what his idea of "high-dollar coffee" is - Starbucks? I sent a reply saying "If high-dollar coffee paid my rent you would nvr have met me, since I wouldn't be driving an hr each way to earn the $$ to pay it." Solid radio silence since then.
He's typically worth a solid amt when he comes in but God almighty I don't have the patience for this shit. Mr. "can't you separate business from our interactions outside of work, just once, just for me, pleeeeeeeaaaasse????", we both know that when you get on abt the improper intentions you claim not to have, you are full of shit. You also know my time is valuable, as you encourage me to go chat up potential customers even when you're in the club. My answer is the same every time you bring this up, & we have agreed we're at an impasse. There is no further need for this to be brought up. So please, cut the crap, pay me, & let's go grab us sm dinner, or cut the crap & take it to sm1 else. /Endrant.
