Default "Beauty" programme before starting to cam?

    Hi girlies,

Wondering how many of you went on a self created "beauty" programme before camming? I've been doing a lot of research into it for a while now and decided I'm going to make the jump (terrifying though it is!). However.... eh well, I'm a girl who needs her clothes/makeup/grooming and what with all the stress the last few months I look rough! lol So figured I'll work out a bit/look after myself for 6-8 weeks. Do you think that'll be long enough just to polish myself up a bit? I think some of it is a mental preparation too but I look kinda crappy right now xD

I feel like thats only necessary if you want to be a stripper or porn star.

Yeah me as a stripper won't happen atm, can't even walk in heels. It'll be swing, wriggle, splat... I suppose I can see your point actually... maybe it is more mental for me then. I just feel like I've crawled out of some bloody hole lol

Welcome! I don't think a beauty program is necessary either, but if it makes you feel great, why not?

Just log on... its not that complicated. I make the most when my hair is uncombed and my teeth are unbrushed...

My 'beauty program' was my fellow camgirls telling me to put on makeup because the camera washed me out and to take the blankets down that I had behind me because it made me look like I was in a studio.

Best beauty program I've ever experienced.

Okay, mini rant time: I've been told exactly the same thing, actually... But overall, no matter who is saying it, this is such a huge pet peeve of mine: How do you look like you're in a studio?! Apparently my makeup made me look like I was "in a studio" too, what?

Do they mean you look like you're in a physical studio?! Because if so, wtf client is going to say: "Well, you're so hot, and I would tip you / take you private, but you look like you're inside a studio right now, so...yeah sorry but no"?

Or do they mean you look like you belong to a cam studio? How does that work? You look like you only get 30%? Yeah, no.

To the OP, I say you should judge based on results: some men prefer some ladies without makeup. It's entirely possible that - unless of course you're in it for enjoyment / general interest - you would financially benefit more from a bare face, or do just as well with simply working with the makeup skills you already possess. In any case, with the millions of incredible makeup tutorials on YouTube with your pick of some of the best professional makeup artists in the world, it seems like a waste of money to bother with an entire course, but of course that's just my humble opinion. :3

They mean a location based studio. Some studios put up sheets ( idk why) or ugly curtains up on the wall some guy notice the trend or sometimes I believe its just nasty cam models trying to mess up your work day. Broke bitches will do anything to stop you from making a dollar.

How long it takes you depends on what you define and see as "polished" , you might feel polished after a day.
My beauty "beauty programme" is actually based on how other cam looked. Some were like super glamed up, hair done, flawless makeup and a manicure and other looked like nasty grease balls with bad hair. So for me its shower, exfoliate, moisturize. My eyelashes and eye brows have to be done. A manicure and pedicure and my wig of choice has to be washed and styled. As long as I have those things together Im prepared.
To prep mentally, I think you should watch other cam models so you can an idea of how things happen, how guys might talk to you. Once that fear of the unknown goes away you'll be ready and hopefully feel polished too.

Well, for me, I'll be using wigs/heavy makeup. 1) I feel I do need it (based on unintended feedback from guys. Makeup = them drooling. No makeup, no looks, unless it's my ass but that's a different thing entirely lol). 2) I'm looking to create a different identity to my rl me. In rl I don't even bother with makeup/being glam. I'm too lazy! So I think I'll figure out what look I want, persona/theme and go from there

I don't have a beauty programme... But I am pregnant and incredibly uncomfortable. Most of my shows are a lot of licking so I don't get heavy lipstick, just lightly colored lipgloss. Once I'm not pregnant, I will be exercising and working on myself to the best of my ability (and likely making money for it!). If it makes you feel sexy and awesome, then that will show on camera hun. And that's what the guys want. Makeup or not, some like it and some don't. It's about -you- and -your- crowd, cuz honestly either way you choose to go, guys are going to eventually flock to you because they like -you- no matter these specific decisions. And the longer you cam, the more regs and following you'll gain for being you whether you glam up or go natural. There are guys for everyone. =)

Honestly I think you're over thinking it. I do think getting yourself together is a great thing but I think its a little excessive. Self grooming, shaving, painting nails, makeup etc are all understandable but I wouldn't say you needs weeks to prep. A few days, sure. Weeks is a bit much. Don't over think it. Before I started I worried about the stupidest little things and now realize guys don't care about these things half as much as we think they do, or half as much as WE do. Take a little time to get yourself together, put some makeup on and get on cam.

I just realised I forgot to mention having a bit of a work out during those few weeks. No wonder why some of you are thinking wth just for sprucing up lol. Put on weight last 2 months due to comfort eating/stress so I feel a bit jiggly when I'm not used to it. But nvm, I'm just going to do it anyway. I have a choice, sink or swim

    my beauty program

shower, comb my hair...put oil, mousse and gel in my hair ( super curly).

    put clothes on..

do my makeup.. BB cream, mascara and eyeliner sometimes eyeshadow.

    make a cup of coffee.

Get a whole bunch of clean towels and im ready to cam!
    :p
oh and floss and brush my teeth

Honestly day to day stuff any normal person would do before going to work right?

I mean i scrub my face and steam it with a towel before bed sometimes...and take a million baths cause im always lubed up or have baby oil on me. so like sometimes 3 baths a day.
    normal right? :p

I didn't do anything special before I started camming. I workout anyway so it wasnt a big deal, I still always get compliments. Now that I am camming though, there are a few things I want to improve about myself. As said above, it's not necessary, but if it makes you feel good, go for it! Good luck.

The only "special" regime I do beyond regular makeup is fake eyelashes and a wig.
