    Default I H*te my managers...

    I am a bit disturbed.

A customer offers to dance with me in VIP for $40. Not only does this fucker try grabbing at me and have his hand like an octopus but he claims he only has $20 at the end of our time.

I tell the bouncer and he removes the guy from VIP. I know it's only $20 Brits he principle.

The manager hardly does anything and says there is nothing he can do if I don't collect money upfront. Ok my fault. But still how the h*ll you agree to a price and then claim you don have enough. Ughhh I just want to scream.

I don't like the manager right now. The bouncer was more willing to intervene Than manager. WHT?

Almost every club I've worked in, the mgmt behaves like this. The attitude of 'we get our cut, it's all good, the rest of it's your problem.'

Always get at least get the first dance payment up front, that's why I actually try to take a guy during the middle of a song. I tell them 'I don't do half-songs. Let's get the payment out of the way now, so we don't have to waste time.'

It's bullshit tho, the culture these mgrs foster by not backing girls up when customers try to stiff us. We make their $$, yet they don't consider that in the long run, everyone gets hurt by allowing these guys' behaviour to continue.

What made me so pissed is I saw money and credit cards in this guys wallet so I know he way lying. And I've seen bouncers make guys go to the ATM.

Thank goodness it was on $20 and not some huge amount like $200 or I would have raised hell.

Still I wish I could have slapped the taste out that cheap bastards mouth.

I hate hearing that management isn't sticking up for its girls the way they should. A customer has only tried to short me once, by giving me like $120 when he owed me for 12 songs ($300). So he shorted me $180! No matter, I went over and told one of my bouncers who promptly and firmly told the guy to get me a cash advance for the rest of my money. The guy listened to the bouncer and gave me my full amount of cash and I tipped the bouncer $20 of it for having my back. My bouncers always stick up for me which I REALLY appreciate! But not every girl is so lucky... one of my best friends struggles financially with stripping so she usually doesn't have good nights... she had been working at my club for about a month when she stupidly spent like three hours sitting/drinking with a guy before getting paid... he went up for VIP and got $250 worth of dances, then tried to pull his dick out and she refused to give him head so he said he wasn't going to pay her. The bouncer said she was in there for 10 songs, therefore her owed her $250, but since the guy is buddy-buddy with the owner he felt he didn't have to pay. My manager told the guy to at least give her something and he gave her $100, shorting her $150. If management wants to give these guys a personal friends and family discount, that's fine, but they better take the rest of the money I'm owed out of their own pockets or out of the register!

My club just got new management and I was physically assaulted by the new manager. He'd been drinking all night and has serious anger problems. He grabbed me by my arms/shoulders, picked me up, shoved me onto the counter in the dressing room, and now a week later his thumb print is still bruised onto my bicep. My agent and other manager tried looking at the video footage to see him doing this, but the tapes conveniently don't work anymore. Go figure. I haven't been to work since, and will be shopping around for new clubs. A 300 pound guy leaving a bruise on a 105 pound woman's body just is unacceptable. Any man leaving a bruise on a woman is unacceptable...

I really wish that managers were more professional in this industry. Sadly, you don't have to really super qualified or stable for this type of job.

I agree I the club expects their money from us I expect my money from the customers and would like a bit more back up on situations like this.

I was just so bothered I left but I feel like if they aren't going to make home give all the money owed they should at least kick them out or something.

One of the girls danced for him and could tell he was drunk but this bitch didn't warn me or anything. I couldn't tell he was that fucked up until I got back to VIP and he kept grabbing at me, trying to force me to kiss him on the lips, and offering me $1000 to go home with him. After I told him no many times. WTH?! You have a grand but you don't have $40 - get the fuck outta here!

How do they expect us to make money and pay them if they allow cheap drunk fuckers to short us and disrespect us. Uggggh never again.

Nina_ that s ucks to hear your manager was physical with you. Even though i said i wanted to slap this guy, I think physical abuse or emotional a abuse is unacceptable especially from people we give money to. Could you not have called police to report it? I think bruising is proof of physical abuse right? I know you were probably in shock I mean managers are supposed to be professional.

yea always get your money upfront regardless, and if they say no & you lose a dance then I'd rather lose a dance than possibly be shorted. I've had it happen many years ago when I was a newbie, and ever since I ALWAYS get paid upfront. As far as the mngt goes, either try a new club or keep them at arms length.

Yeah my fault for slipping and not getting it upfront.

So sometimes you agree to x amount of dances and at then they want more so how do you do that without breaking the flow?

But I wonder when does management draw the line and kick guys who are too drunk, too broke, and just annoyances out the club?

Yep I'm on the verge of heading towards something new.

The clubs I've worked at where I collected upfront, I would take however much they wanted at the start and then start a sort of tab in my head if they wanted to keep going longer once that money ran out. I found it really broke momentum to make them stop and dig in their wallet between each song, and since they'd proved they were serious with some cash at the get-go, I wasn't too worried. Of course, I *would* break momentum if there was cause for concern, like someone was really drunk, there was a language barrier, or they just seemed shady.

The club I work(ed) at is in Detroit, and unfortunately the Detroit cops are literally a joke so I didn't bother calling the police. A squad car was actually outside the building (typical for a Saturday night) just chillin' not upholding the law - they get paid by the clubs not to report all the prostitution that they know is going on. Of the times I've had to call the police back when I lived in Detroit, once it took them over an hour to show up, once they didn't show up until the next morning, and twice they never showed. Pitiful. No use.

    Awww man that really sucks.

Where is the justice when you need it?!?

That night I was stiffed, the managers said something about some law - I think they used to get away with booting people out easier back in the day - hence the bouncer ready to ride (which I tipped him for his eagerness and willingness to protect) but overturned by the manager ugggh....

Too bad we're not in Texas with that weird law about using deadly force to protect your property or these shady managers and idiotic tightwad customers would get their just desserts
