Default More reasons to avoid Craigslist:/

    (jessie/sam daycare or in reply)

This crap just happened to me. I moved back home, leaving my husband in TX til he ETS's from the military next year. My many friends couldn't find me a weekend sitter so I could work, so I resorted to CL. I picked a young, punky, pierced "single" mom who rambled in her ad. I ramble, so I trusted her somewhat. The house was dirty, but the toddlers there were happy and my bff in high school lived in a trashy trailer park.....so I thought it would be okay. We would chat at pick-up and drop-off and I stupidly told her I was stripping while I waited for a position to open up at my old, regular job. Three nights of sitting later and she loses her mind on my son and I over some destroyed bathroom toiletries. I immediately post a warning to other parents, and she's unstable so it escalates.

She's just another idiot who's only decent comeback is "well, you're a stripper".
The best part has to be when she tries to pretend I'm making it all up, so I go ahead and upload screenshots of her angry texts. So immature, I know, but I can't help it.

Not immature at all, I don't think, re: your posting screenshots of her txts. It'll make it that much easier for others to avoid her in the future, esp if she tries to pull 'Oh well that was just sm pissed-off strung out stripper' bs on a prospective client who questions your reviews.

All the same, judgmental shit like this is why if I do disclose to strangers what I do for a living, I generally just do so to ppl whom I don't see myself having to get close to, personally or professionally.

Definitely keep posting so people will avoid her, someone like that should NOT be aound children and if she does that god knows what else she would do.
I'm absolutely paranoid about daycare after hearing the stories about my husband being locked in a highchair in a hot apartment all day while the babysitter just left when he was two. You just never know what happens after you leave. I hope she never gets another babysitting gig.

Thanks for the support!! I feel childish but also feel like it's necessary. She texted "I don't know why you can't just find another sitter?". She really doesn't get it.
This is why I stayed at home as long as I could. Luckily, the daycare I needed is actually run by a friend.
