Default Combatting dark skin areas on inner thighs, neck, under arms, etc?

    Hi all,

I'm a pale-to-light skin BBW and I'm really wanting to lighten the dark skin that I have between my legs and under my arms. I get some light rings around my neck, but I can usually lighten those by scrubbing with an astringent. I have some arm pit fetish guys and I've had some comments (not bad really.. but I'm still self-conscious) about the dark areas on my inner thighs. Have any of you had any luck with lightening these areas and if so, what did you use? Did you have an every day regimen that helped? I've read some good things about a papaya soap, but I thought I'd get some advice before I drop money that I don't have.

    Thanks

Wassup buxxxom, I can vouch for the papya soap. It does work pretty well with skin lightening (popular in Asia/Philippines). I have used it before and it made my skin noticeably lighter.

i too had very dark underarms and i scrubbed them with a rough loufa in the shower, with baking soda and it seemed to clear it up quite a bit.

    Mother of Pearl soap
Benzoyl peroxide washes are also known to lighten skin, but they will also bleach clothes/dark sheets after you use it, and it could dry out your skin.

Thanks all! I've ordered the papaya soap and a good unscented lotion in case I get dried out. I'll also try the baking soda bit and I'll keep the Mother of Pearl soap in mind if the papaya doesn't work out.

Honestly - for me what has helped in the past has been Metformin and a low-carb diet. I too have dark skin patches (acanthosis nigricans) in those areas and it's because I'm insulin resistant. I'm assuming since you said you are a BBW that you probably are too. I've tried to scrub and use all kinds of soaps and such to no avail, the problem really lies underneath the skin. The dark patches are just a symptom. That being said, I have found that astringent/toner and acne treatment pads can help temporarily to remove some of the excess darkness... although it usually irritates my skin and makes it red... which isn't that much better.
