Default best gymless ab exercises (besides crunches) ?

hey ladies, can you recommend any highly effective ab workout routines that don't require a gym? I've been on the road for a month and its starting to show (I had been up in the Appalachians hiking before this so the weight is coming back on BOO), also even at my thinnest my stomach still pooches (sp?) out and has been a problem area that I would much like to solve in the next few months... anybody have routines or sets that they stick with? does eating yogurt actually help? I know when I settle at a place and am working 5-7 days a week that definitely helps but my stomach and hips are always my biggest areas...anyways, I'm open to suggestions! Thanks for reading! xxx

Eating well, yogurt included, definitely helps your stomach. My stomach feels and looks better when I incorporate unflavored Greek yogurt into my diet often. The super sugary stuff, even if it's advertised to be healthy, does not help. Other than that, if you don't already do planks or pushups, you should add those to your routine.

This post is total hypocrisy though, so I'm going to go hang my head in shame and do some self-loathing pushups now.

Get an ab wheel. They are cheap and they are tough--use one a while, you will be too!

^^^Not recommending any particular brand. Hell you can find them at garage sales for a buck.

Do you do pole tricks at all? If you have a pole, whether at home, work or a nearby playground, grasp it as for a basic invert, but make sure you grip it hard between your bicep & side so you don't slip. Do leg lifts in this position, which has the added benefit of strengthening your grip.

Also, shoulder mounts - the basic standing-up-straight, & also from a kneeling position on the floor. You're sitting up rather than sitting on your feet when you do this, & you can't cheat by kicking yourself up like when you're standing up! When you build the core strength, if you haven't already, you can start working on aerial shoulder mounts.

I can climb up and down and am almost able to go upside down in a confident and sexy manner...haha...but I'm kind of living out of my car right now crashing at friends houses, state parks or sleeping in my car and working along the way so the pole stuff might have to wait till I'm a bit more settled.

I found this video on youtube I'm doing it myself started few days ago and it really works, plus that you don't feel pain in your body after the exercises. Before I joined a gym class and realised that after 20 minutes on the treadmill and a complete set of exercises I was spending 2 hours at the gym and that was way too long time, plus that the second day morning I could barely stand up. And after 2 months I didn't have any results. Here's the link of this guy who explains how to work out at home all your body and you don't need any special equipment except some weights if you want to upgrade the exercises http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9ucb...CTipBeaO5gODpQ
