Default exotic dancing in a gown

any good tutorials out there for dancing in a long gown? Also, I'm not a pole expert. Most of the videos I have found are of ladies swinging around the pole defying gravity; just not realistic for me considering I'm new lol! Unless the video mainly uses the pole for something to lean on or swing around a little. I'd feel weird just dancing around on stage in a gown like I'm modeling it or something. I want to be sexy. Also, the place I applied to is a total dive. I drove by there Saturday night once at 9 pm and there were no cars there at all. The stage fee is cheap but with lack of customers I would barely make a profit.....is it worth it then?? It's honestly the only night job interested in me right now. I am travelling for a couple of weeks and the manager was so lenient telling me to call them when I get back. They must be desperate! They are only selling beer right now too. So that might a lot to do with lack of customers. and their latest review on the yellowpages website was poor. Part of me though wants to be the one who "brings them in and makes it rain" lol

Stage sets in long gowns - hell, most stage sets period - pretty much are just walking around like you're modelling. It does look sexy if you move slow, pose in ways that accentuate your best features, don't look bored, make eye contact with clients, and even flash a few coy smiles while you're up there. That's all I do, with some bending over with the pole or leaning against it. It's really and truly not that complicated!

^ Agreed I work in a gown club. Nobody really ever does pole tricks. Ever. It's mindless walking around really. Basic posing, lots of eye contact, good posture. That about sums it up! Also try to take it VERY slow. Fast dancing kind of looks awkward in a gown IMO.
I'd grab my trumpet and I'd do a stripper sound, like the old Louis Armstrong, real raspy. And the people would go nuts! Then I knew that the sexual, sensual, guttural sound, that throbbing sound, is where it's at.

I dance exclusively in gowns and dresses. Like Absolut and Shanna said, it is mostly moving slllllooooooowly and posing and making eye contact. Run your hands along your body, roll your neck some, bend forward while holding the pole, show some leg if you can. Smile! A gown can make you look snobby if you're in a dive-ier club and no one else is wearing one. Smile smile smile. You are the approachable goddess!

If that doesn't work, try a mini-dress. You still look kinda fancy compared to everyone else in a divey club, but it's not as out of place as a gown. And keep smiling. Exude FUN!

Me? I sucked in sports bars/dives. I just couldn't hack it. I am brainy and like wearing dresses; I didn't go over well. When you're starting out or really need the money, almost any club that is physically safe is worth a try. But if you've been there for a while and you're not making the money you want, keep looking around to find the club that fits you.

Pretty much any strip club won't care when you come back and if you come back. That's the beauty of stripping. Is a gown the required attire? Cause you may look a little out of place in a gown in a dive bar..
