    Default Licensing

    Hello ladies!
I just created my account a few days ago after lurking and learning for awhile, but I have a question I don't believe has been covered yet: is getting licensed as an escort required in the entire US or does it vary by state, and if it is required, isn't that just a red flag to the LE in the area to watch you?? I obviously haven't started working yet, but I'm almost done laying the groundwork. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

Unless you're somewhere that escorting is legal (ie. Nevada - and I'm not even sure if you need a license there or not), there isn't a license to get since it's, yanno, illegal.

Escorting is totally legal. Prostitution is not. I've done a bit of researching on it previously, so I know of the top of my head that Wisconsin is one state where you need a license (need being a loose term), but I was hoping other women could chime in on if they bothered with one. I figured for the most part no one does.

yes some cities require you to get a license - mine is one that does - it is no big deal other than you will have a record that can be requested by the public

So you've got a license, Nikki_Fox? Did you worry that it would be a major tip off for LE or are you confident they have other things to worry about?

well - it's complicated - over 25 years I have seen different police chiefs and that seems to be the difference - no - I dont feel it is an extra tip off - initially there was no licensing and there were really bad agencies popping up with pimp mentality etc - the licensing ran out those people as Le focused on them - after things were cleaned up then we were randomly set up once a year or if something happened to stir the pot - another police chief came in and he just didnt give a shish about escorting - at first the licensing helped cause we were the only ones allowed to work then the i dont care cop came in office and they leave the licensed escorts alone but they are lax on enforcing unlicensed and it has affected our money - i hope that made sense I tried to simplify it - knock on wood - where I work is a no drama / drugs agency so they pretty much leave us alone - but we have a new police chief as of the last year - so far his focus has been on the multitude of body rub facilities that have sprang up over the past few years under the idc police chief - big places with no screening - lots of girls working at a time in office areas - high volume of customers etc..... so who knows if escorts will be the next focus - i hope not -but back to your question with online advertising they can find you whether you have a license or not - have you spoke with other escorts in your city?

Thank you so much for the input! I was actually on a road trip this week to check out the new city I'll be moving to within the month, so I don't know any escorts in that area yet. I'll definitely start chatting them up! How in the world do you keep up with all those police chiefs and officers?? You say 'randomly set up' like it's not a big deal, but omg! That kind of thing would scare me out of town for sure.

I'm working on it. I have to finish my web own site before I can become a full-fledged member of any others, and I need a review or two at least to convince people I'm not bad news. Slow going, but I contacted a few girls in the area so hopefully they'll have some good info.
