Default Time for a Healthy Change!

    Hello Ladies

So, in my situation, my only form of income is camming/making clips. I've noticed that because this is all I do, I don't exercise as much and I've been eating a little unhealthier. I don't exactly have a sleep schedule anymore. I almost passed out when I went on the scale for the first time in 6 months and found that I was 40 lb heavier then I was before.

I've always thought to have a thyroid problem, but I know my unhealthy eating habits, sleeping habits, and exercise levels aren't exactly helping the situation.

Since I've checked my weight, I've been trying my absolute hardest to eat extremely healthy. Salad, vegetables, water, lean meat. I've also began walking to the supermarket instead of driving. I mean really, it's only 10 minutes away. Walking. Working out. Abs. Legs. More salad.

If anyone has any great dieting tips, that would be greatly appreciated. Being 120 lb would be an absolute dream for me.

Sleep is a lot more important than people believe.

So true! I need more sleep than normal, I believe. I also have made terrible judgment errors while sleep deprived.

Yeah i'm trying my best to keep a steady schedule, or somewhat regular schedule from 1 am - 10 am.
I love sleep. As long as it's steady..hopefully it helps.

Sleep is definitely super important. As far as exercise, find something you love. I do hoop dancing and aerial acrobatics which keeps me fit since I HATE going to the gym. Play around and see what you find. Maybe it's going to the skating rink, pole dancing or yoga. I'm a bit of a firm believe that there's an activity out there for everyone that they like doing that gets them active. Do your parks offer anything. YMMV but I know here our parks offer free archery, rock climbing, and other things.

Also, since you mentioned making clips have you tried filming your workouts? I know there's a whole category on C4S for fitness and exercise. That might be some extra motivation too. Also, check out Fitocracy. It's a website where you can track your fitness and workouts. You get points for what you do and after a certain amount you Level Up. It's pretty fun and a great motivator. They also have achievements and workout quests for more points in addition to forums and groups for support.

I try to limit my sugar intake. I think limiting your sugar intake can help you slim down even if you don't get a chance to exercise much.

I substitute rice for quinoa and if I must eat toast I will eat it with whole wheat bread. I also switched to plain yogurt. I can't stand it alone, but it tastes surprisingly good as a dip with chopped broccoli, bell peppers, and cucumbers. The plus side to this is it's quick and easy to prepare.

I also try to limit eating things with artificial sweetners. Since they taste sweet it can trick your body to release more insulin to prepare for the incoming sugar, but since there is no sugar there the insulin stays in your blood and can increase your appetite.

    Also no sugar in coffee.

It's hard, but after a week or so I got used to it. Now things that are normally not very sweet tastes too sweet sometimes.

I've been drinking a lot of wine lately because of stress & my abs could look better if I slowed down. Or I could do some cardio, looks like plan B CHEERS!
