Okay so I had my tongue pierced on Monday. It was a proper snap decision-I was in the piercing place about to get one of my other piercings swapped and a girl was in there dead dead nervous and sweating and stuff because she wanted her tongue pierced but was too scared, and the guy asked me to hold her hand-she still wouldn't do it, so I said ah sod it I'll have mine done you can watch-if it looks not so scary then get yours done.
So I have, but I'm regretting it because I shouldn't have got it done-or at least not yet!
I'm struggling to eat anything apart from very finely blended soup lol
It's still sore.
I go to a festival a week today. It'll be nine days since I had the piercing then.
I have IBS and dodgy blood sugar and if I'm out in the sun and drinking alcohol I'll get sick if I don't eat.... I know this from bad experiences. I usually eat fairly healthy, I won't drink excessively, and I'm a vegan but still It's going to be a case of veggieburgers and bread and stuff, I can hardly cart a bucketful of soup to the music festival, I'll have to eat what they've got there-but I can't bite anything!
I don't know when the bar can be changed to a shorter one-It's a mega long one that's in now and I'm scared I'll bite it and break a tooth if I have to eat festival food , or I'll hurt my mouth.
And the issue of cleaning it-I'll take a clean toothbrush with me but let's face it festivals are minging places, and I can forsee me having to go to the tea/coffee carts and ask for cups of salty water! That's fine, but ugh I'm such an idiot!!!
Any advice?I know a couple of you have yours done!
