    Default Cosmetic Storage

What do you guys use to store your cosmetics? I own quite a few (not an insane amount but more than just "basics") pieces of makeup. I just moved into a new place and I'm tired of digging around cosmetic cases for different pieces of makeup, lol ... I really like this but it's sold out http://www.muji.us/store/storage/acr...5-drawers.html

I'd prefer something that I can move around because I'm only living in this place for 3-6 months most likely. What do ya'll use?

Responding to this so it will be easy to keep up with. My cosmetics are a disaster, at least three make-up bags (the ones you get Gift w Purchase), my daily makeup spread between them in no logical order. Several foundations in the medicine cabinet, but usually next to the sink. Also a big tackle box that is a pain to use as the bathroom is really small, so it has rarely used and extra stuff in it mixed with art supplies.

All day today I couldn't find my favorite cam lipstick, which matter b/c I wear light shades for normal life (looks dead on cam) and cherry-red for cam. This thread is RELEVANT to my interests.

I bought a small, black, rectangular coffee table from target and have everything spread out on it.

In one drawer of my bathroom cabinet I have several small makeup bags and a couple of plastic clipseal bags.
    Bags:
    1) My lipsticks,lipliners and lipbalms.
    2) Eyeshadows and Eyeliners, Eyebrow pencil.
    3) All my day makeup in a set (so I can grab the bag and go)
    4) Concealer, Foundation
    5) MAC brushes
In my work suitcase I carry another makeup bag with work makeup for that night only- exchanging colours and items from my bathroom cabinet as my colour preference changes.
I am a little OCD when it comes to organising and I love having everything I need for work with me too- I am the girl with a sewing kit, gas tabs, panadol, rub in anaesthetic, wipes, hairties, shoe glue, tampons, bandaids the list goes on.
    Tiny tweaks----->BIG CHANGES

3rd on the muji storage. I have a professional travel case but it's hard to clean and harbors dust, which really annoys me. I'm getting acrylic storage when I move.

I sorted through the makeup I use regularly and not so often and have them in separate sections of a big makeup storage case. It's got different levels and compartments tht open up.
My foundation and powders and concealer go in one compartment, eyeshadows on another and fake eyelashes and flashy makeup are on the bottom. My mom gave me a little short porcelain cup that I put in the bottom of the case which containers eyeliners, brow liners and all my brushes.

I keep a little estee lauder travel makeup bag inside for when I go to work. Usually I'll do my makeup at home and then I'll only pack a few pieces like concealer, eyeliner and lip gloss needed for touch ups and pack it in my bag on the way out.

Nice. A lot of good ideas in here. I decided I will be buying the muji one ... Well, once it's back in stock ... Hopefully soon. My makeup is in several different totes and makeup bags and everything is so disorganized and hard to find ... Lol.

I love Muji. I've bought their storage pieces for my makeup and jewelry. I like how the drawers don't fly out when you pull them like they do with other acrylic storage pieces.

The items come back in stock, but they are gone very quickly. Even in the NYC stores they've had waiting lists so they could call and tell everyone the cases had been restocked.

I have a tiny bag with my brushes and basics that I wear everyday which comes with me to work. I have stuff that I like to play with if I get ready for work early in a bathroom draw spilling out of a bigger bag. Then I have my hardly ever touched impulse buy stuff in another bag under the sink. Can I gush about how much I want a vanity in my bedroom when I get another place? It'd be so nice to have hair and makeup all in one place and be able to sit down not stand in the bathroom and prep.
