Default Exotic dancer falls to her death in Philadelphia

Ngoc Tran Vo, a 30 year old dancer at Club Risque in Philadelphia fell to her death from a 12th floor balcony. She had dropped her phone off the balcony, and when she leaned over to see where her phone landed, she fell over.

I keep reading about all these girls falling off balconies. That seems really hard to do. Especially if the railing is strong and in-tact. I wonder if there is more foul play than the police often suspect?

^Exactly. You sure some information is being omitted? Perhaps an irate customer/dancer/bouncer or crowd pushed her? I don't mean to sound insensitive, it's a sad story and I feel for her family and others that knew her. But imo it kind of sounds stupid.

I've worked with her a couple of times, very sad. It's still under investigation the last I read.

RIP and hopefully they do investigate. Dropping a cell phone is possible... but its something that happens in a split second, you'd probably have to tell someone "oh silly me I was reaching for my phone" which is impossible to explain when you're dead. If she had the phone in her hand when she was pushed, it easily could have come out of her hand as she fell and landed near her.

You don't mean to sound insensitive?

How about reading the original post by Eagle2, a grand total of 3 sentences?

Fell from a 12th floor balcony. At a condo. No customer, dancer, bouncer, or crowd involved.

I knew her. So did mia_fey. Also knew some of her relatives.

Whoops my bad. Still, I agree with Glamour. The story seems suspect. That is all.

^^I agree as well. The only way I could see a person falling over a railing is if they were really drunk and had poor balance but in the story it stated that she was blackmailing that business man for $$ after she slept with him. Doing things like this will give you enemies, and who knows maybe she had a scheme going with this man as well ( I have no idea so I could be way off) but just saying maybe he had some kind of hate for her or something she was doing and saw the opportunity to push her off the edge and took it. This is a sad situation nomatter what happened or why.

    My thoughts, exactly.

In 2010, Vo was sentenced to five years’ probation and 150 hours of community service after she pleaded guilty to attempting to extort money from a Gladwyne businessman whom she had secretly recorded having sex.

Yeeeah... no potential for foul play here. Goodness knows a businessman who can afford to have his life ruined by a sex tape would never invest in a private entity to preform a convenient "accident". /sarcasm

In all seriousness, this is awful and I'm sorry for the loss to everyone who knew her, family and friends. I really hope this is thoroughly investigated. It's nice to read that she was so well-liked at her home club. She was obviously a very lovely lady.

The last article I read had it that she was at the condo of a man she had met that night (Thursday night/Friday morning). The phone fell. Apparently, the building security people were told about it and said that they would retrieve it in the morning. Then, by 4:30am, she had fallen from the twelfth floor to the fourth.

I remember that she was on the schedule at Risque for the Thursday night, because I checked it and was trying to make time that night to stop in and see her. Assuming that she left by 2:30, and since the condos are less than a mile from the club, she was probably there for two hours before she fell. With security people being made aware of her being there and of the phone, it is pretty unlikely that it was anything nefarious.

either suuperrrr drunk/under the influence of other substances or foul play, definitely! what sober grown woman just looks over the railing and falls?? VERY suspicious. no security tapes? even if security was made aware of her being there, doesn't mean much if it was really a wealthy powerful man she was trying to extort money from

Jeepers! Balconies are starting to scare me. There was a recent news story about a woman who feel to her death due to a faulty balcony barrier/railing.

Was this woman extremely tall? Every balcony I've been on had a railing at waist level and most were at least at rib level... I can't see how looking down would cause a person to fall unless they were taller than a basketball player and lost their balance. Did she stand on something to lean over further? It's a strange story all around.

Is giving someone in a trial a lie detector test against the law or something?

^ i dont think it can be used in court so Its kind of pointless unless its a scare tactic to make a person tell on themselves

No she was petite. I could have probably lifted her with ease. I think something shady happened.

wow, i heard about this story too, so depressing. strikes me a little odd that she apparently was still trying to locate where her phone landed from 8 stories up even after making a call to the security and being told to wait until the morning hours, i sense foul play here...

"Exotic dancer falls to her death in Philadelphia" makes it sound as though the fall happened in the course and scope of dancing.
