    Thumbs up The Motivation Thread

    Hey ladies

I think I speak for most of us when I say that I don't work as often as I should or as often as I'd like to. I don't have a good reason for staying home so much. I simply have no motivation to go to work if there isn't a bill due tomorrow.

So, I've been thinking of a thread to start that could give us motivation to go to work and here's what I've come up with...

    *drumroll*

Post a picture of the money you made last night!

    * We now have a fun reason to go to work
    * The picture will prove that you actually went to work
    * Perhaps we'll all work more frequently
    * Maybe we'll all work a little harder so we can post pictures that will impress our cyber buddies on here
    * When you skip work, you can check this thread the next day to see all of the money you missed out on

And don't be embarrassed if you have a bad night at work. The point of posting the pic isn't to show everyone how much money you made, it's just to prove to us that you went to work and we all know every day isn't Christmas.

I worked last night. I would work tonight but I have a doctors appointment bright and early tomorrow (one of the rare times that I have a legit excuse to skip work). I'll definitely be working Friday night and possibly tomorrow night. Some one hold me accountable for this.

Well, I am definitely looking at that pile of money and shaming myself for my laziness. I think we should also post the hours we worked, since I am very bad about wanting to leave at midnight, even though I know 12-2 is a good money time. I am working Thursday 4-2 and Friday 7-2 this week.

I am looking at that pile of money and shaming myself for it being so small. Truth be told, I did not work the way I usually do last night. I got drunk, and then just sat with one guy trying to make him my boyfriend, then when he pissed me off, I went and sat with some other idiot trying to make him my boyfriend. I started my period yesterday so I'm guessing that was why I was being a clingy moron looking for love when I should have been hustling.

And I worked 9 to 4 but I got to the club at 8:10, and I left my house at 5:40 to get there, and I started getting ready for work at 3:30... it's such a time consuming process

Tuesdaymarie, do the clubs by you close at 2?

Yeah, I think maybe a few farther away stay open till 4 but stop serving alcohol at 2. Most are completely closed by 2 though. I take about three hours to get ready, but my current club is only 20ish minutes away. I want to work at one about an hour away, but with Houston traffic, that could easily turn into three. I am not looking forward to commuting again.

I've heard great things about the money to be made in Houston. If heresay is right, it might be worth the annoyance of commuting there. But is there no way to avoid the traffic? I've never been to Texas but don't they have trains or buses that drive in express lanes or something?

And your current club is only 20 minutes away? I'm jealous. I can't imagine living 20 minutes from work, the thought of that is making me feel warm and fuzzy inside. The fact that my commute to work takes forever is probably part of the reason why I choose to stay home so much. :/

^There's a lot of variation in Houston. I know some girls who aim for $200, and some who aim for $1k. The better club is the one that is an hour+ away, and I need to get a license first. There are a lot of extras, so guys can be very cheap, especially if you work at a mid-tier club or neighborhood place. I had to work 10 hours to make $710 Friday at my current club. Most girls made $200-$400. The commute mostly concerns me right now because I have some family issues surrounding my mother's cancer treatment schedule. She only has about six more weeks of radiation left after she heals from surgery, so in probably eight weeks I will be able to open up my schedule much more. I agree that the commute will be worth it, considering how long and hard I have to work to make more than $400 at this club.

Okay, I'm braced for my lashings. I stayed home and made baked mushroom potatoes and lobster/crab pinwheels with my boyfriend instead of going to work I didn't even cook; I just chose the menu. I am terrible.

Sorry to hear that your mom is sick

And baked mushroom potatoes and lobster/crab pinwheels do sound tasty but smh. Nothing tastes better than making money feels. I expect a picture from you tomorrow since you're working tonight at 7. I'm working tonight too. Right now I'm giving my laptop spirit fingers in hopes that the spirit reaches you and you make tons of money tonight.

Twas a bad night. And before I made a dollar, I bought 3 outfits from the housemom so I had to pay her the first $120 that I made. They're cute outfits though. Then I spent like $21 on food and transportation. It's a pathetic pile. Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to redeem myself.

Even though today sucked, I'm glad that I went to work. I still came home with more money than I left with and I feel productive which is a nice change.

$400 from 7-2. I think I'm going to use it to pay for a license to work at a different club. Apparently, it's the new cool thing to come to my current club in a group and tip $1 for the whole table tops.

In a purse and when that fills, I empty it into a garbage bag that I keep in my locker.

looking at my money from the week so far and if i worked like I know I could I would have a lot more money.

“The irony of commitment is that it's deeply liberating -- in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around like rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life.”
