    Default Evo Cam Help

If there's already a thread about this, please point me to it but I couldn't find it when I did a search.

I'm using a Mac and I was using Windows to cam but now Windows isn't working unless I pay like $100 to upgrade to Windows 8 so I'm trying to find an option that will let me cam from the Mac side.

I tried iglasses but that didn't work---it only recognized my built-in isight and not my Logitech camera.

Now I'm trying EvoCam but the encoder isn't recognizing it. Actually, on the encoder, it's still trying to recognize iGlasses even though I deleted it from my computer.

I'm so frustrated. I just bought a new c920 and I can't even get it to run on my Mac without the software the way I can with my Pro9000. I'm trying to find some kind of 3rd party software that will allow me to zoom, hence why I'm knocking my head against the wall trying to get EvoCam to work.

My next option is to return the c920 (since it doesn't seem to work on Mac at all) and get the Logitech HD 720 since it says that it's fully Mac compatible.

In the mean time, I need to work so if there's anyone that could give me some pointers on working with Evo Cam----or any other software that will allow me to zoom. pan/tilt, adjust the settings, etc--- it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks ladies.

Sister, there seems to be two possible solutions to ur problem:
1)Upgrade to windows 8 for free, I am sure there are ways to upgrade without spending $100..I mean spending that amount just for windows 8 is ridiculous.
2)Download a software called 'webcam settings' from iTunes store, it will cost u $7 but it should let u use ur c920 with the Mac. Its not a guarantee but i think its worth a shot. I will look for u if I can find a cracked version of the software for free

    Enjoy

    Thank you for your help.

My only other idea was to return the c920 for the HD 720 since that one specifically says it's Mac compatible. I'm really hoping to find something I can use with the Mac since it runs a lot faster than the Windows side.

The c930 was $130 on eBay so it's out of my price range.

My husband takes care of all the tech stuff but I double checked with him & he said we can't upgrade to Windows 8 until we upgrade to Mountain Lion on the Mac side, which I guess having to upgrade both is what drives the cost up.

The eBay store I bought my c920 from has a cam that looks just like the c920 that they have labeled as "Logitech HD 720p" and they say it's Mac compatible but when I go to the Logitech store, there's no cam with that name.

Right now, I'm just going to use my Pro 9000 on OS X but I won't have any featuresike zoom available.
