Default He wants a 3 day trip!! I'm freaking out

    Hey ladies,

Anyone have advice about taking a long trip with clients? I just got an email from a doctor (I Googled his name and it checks out, but obviously at this point it could be anyone using his name), and he said he wants to take a two or three day trip with me. He also said if I'm not available it could be a 12 hour. I go from ONE guy emails me, to a week of nothing, now THIS?? I am soooo unprepared for this--I wouldn't even know how much to charge!! Anyone with ideas on what to do, how to do it, what to bring, how much to charge, please PM me!! Thanks

I feel like guys that email and ask for trips before you have even met them are full of shit 99% of the time.

^Me too. Did he email you from a googlable email? I have had "fly me to you's" booked without me meeting them. I reply back and say "that sounds great blah blah blah then talk deposit". Like I have said before if they don't want to pay a deposit they are full of crap.

Lol, not sure why 'googlable' made me laugh. He emailed me from an outlook email, which came up with nothing on Google. I'm writing back to him for more info, don't worry. Asking for a deposit is a great idea, but honestly I wouldn't even know how much to charge. My rate for 12 hours is 1800, so would it make sense to give a small discount the longer the session? For example, should I charge 3K for 24, 5400 for 48 and 10,000 for 72?

I think it is crap but keep your hopes up! Was his email ten pages long? That is always a red flag for a timewaster. A friend of mine used to ask them to list what they would be doing on her trips to see if she would lose her mind or not. Some girls ask for alone time or to sleep separately. If he is real I would say something like "let's meet for 12 hours and see how it goes". I am squirming for you. Three days with a client sounds awful to me! You just have to think $$$$$ the whole time and maybe act really stupid for fun.

I always say googlable! I did notice how goofy it was when I wrote it.

yeah, I do a lot of travel dates but agree that if a guy brings it up as a first date its just his little fantasy and nothing that will come of it. Even if a guy does have it in mind that he would like to do a trip when he contacts me, he always always asks to book a standard date first, usually a few hours, because not only should I feel comfortable going with him, he wants to know (as he should) if he can stand being around me that long too LoL

I have no prob with travel after meeting at least once, and I require a 25% deposit, plus travel expenses before I will confirm a travel date.

Thank you so much for the input ladies!! @strippername, the email was actually quite succinct, though he claimed he had a problem with P411 so I requested a few other ways to verify him, and I mentioned the deposit requirement. @BlkSharpie, I also suggested a shorter meeting first, so we'll see what he says.
Do my prices look ok though? I don't want to scare him off if he is legit, but at the same time... Holy hell, ten grand for three days? Uhhhh, YES please!!

Have him email you from his business email. He shouldn't have a problem getting verified with p411 if he is real.

Yeah, not sure wht to think of someone who says they have a problem with P411.... I dont require P411 for screening, but for a guy to say that would have me go hrm... Generally though, as long as he has the info I require and checks out then we are good to go.

As for your rates, oh I dont know...I mean, I see rates like that all the time so I figure its not uncommon, but I prefer extended / travel dates so I have my rate structure set to encourage them over hourly dates. Some ladies dont like having to spend that much time with a guy, so she figures shes going to make it worth her time if a guy books her for it...I love to travel and for me, extended dates are way easier than 1 or 2 hours ones.

Go with what makes sense to you in relation to your hourly rates and what you feel comfortable spending that time away with a guy for.

Review boards have stories of dudes that do trips with someone they haven't met before. Bad idea all the way around. I can't imagine not meeting for at least an hour first, but I guess it does happen. For starters maybe ask when this trip is scheduled for, and suggest a visit to see if you get along, suggest a couple hours. Anyone planning on spending that kind of money won't mind a small investment to make sure their 'fantasy trip' won't be a disappointment. Do you know the destination, what activities are planned? Do you like any of them? Asking these questions will also help you figure out if he really has a trip planned.

Well, it turns out you guys were right!! (I'm not surprised, of course.) He never wrote back after I suggested meeting for a shorter session. At least I didn't waste too much time on him. Maybe when I get a few more reviews I'll get longer sessions. *cross my fingers*
