    Crossfingers audition help

I will be auditioning at clubs within the next 2 weeks. I have 6 inch strappy heels with 1 inch platforms that I'm already comfortable in. They're not stripper shoes but i have no money to buy any at the moment. Should those do? What outfits did you wear to your audition? I have no costumes but i have thongs & cute bras/bandeaus. & what did you do during your audition? Did you already know Pole tricks or did you learn on the Job? Help please. I want to leave my audition with no regrets. I want to be fully prepared.

The shoes you have are probably fine to audition in, but you'll want to invest in some stripper heels ASAP! Regular heels are hell on your feet after dancing for hours - stripper heels are MUCH more comfortable.

Some clubs have strict dress codes (usually the really upscale ones) and some don't seem to care what you wear. You'll have to check with the club to determine what's appropriate for you to wear during your audition. Generally speaking, I think you'll be perfectly fine in a cute bra set to start.

Watch some videos on youtube (http://www.youtube.com/user/myzodog <-- GREAT channel!!) for ideas of moves to do during your audition. Dance slowly, smile, and don't forget to take your top off! Don't worry about pole tricks, they're not necessary. Most of all, HAVE FUN! You'll probably be nervous, but don't stress out

Walk in looking your best in full makeup and hair, be friendly and charming to the manager and staff. Take everything you need to start working immediately - proper ID (they may need your SS card as well), stripper bag stocked with essentials, cash for fees/tip out, etc because it's likely you'll be hired and asked to work that very night! Good luck!

+1 on what Addison said, especially re: the shoes. Wear your most comfortable pair and let platforms be your first purchase with your earnings.

You don't need pole tricks, either at your audition or later on (unless you're in an urban club), so don't worry about those. Just move slow. Stage shows are really more like lingerie modelling than dancing, so you're just showing off your body in different ways up there. Smile and make eye contact with the patrons!

    Good luck!

I think the shoes you have will be fine. Once you get hired and get money I would get nice stripper shoes ASAP. Preferably from Pleaser, the most comfortable and well-known brand.

I also second the YouTube idea! Search "stripper floor work" and stuff like that. You don't even need to be good on a pole to be a stripper! There's many simple, easy floor work moves you can do that work just as well and the bras and underwear that are cute should work. Scout the mall for cheap lingerie.
