Not much to work with, really. If it's not returnable, you can probably wear the thong with a bunch of other outfits, at the very least.

If you do your own sewing, you could find sm nice lacy or sheer material to sew around the bottom edge of the top piece, so it drapes down to cover your tummy. Do layers in a couple colours like black/purple for example, w/ solid black underneath & a sheer purple layer over it. Open in the front or solid all around. If you like embellishments then you can rhinestone or streak the hell out of it.

^^^^ I do most of my own alterations & embellishments. Now if only I could get around to repairing my favourite jeans, the pair w/ the huge rip down the rear seam ...

OP you could also sew the sheer fabric to the collar piece, leave it open in the front then tease the bandeau down during your set?

I'd personally wear a cute slip over the top, tease it off, make them think they're going to see nipples, but BAM! covered

    build that anticipation :p

Use the top as a collar for the pup on the floor!
“The irony of commitment is that it's deeply liberating -- in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around like rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life.”

You can always wear the "top" on your head and dress up as a character from The Warriors movie...
