Default Straightening my hair without much damage?

So I bleached the life out of my hair a few months back and after treating it and getting it to healthy looking state I've been wanting to straighten it again. Is there a way I can do this without too much damage. I have a cheap straightener and everytime I use this it fries my ends so I've been leaving it wavy/curly since I fried it. Would a blowdryer or heat protecting spray+ceramic straightener prevent damage? Is there any low heat methods? I'm trying to grow my hair to waist length and am only a few inches away so I don't want to kill my ends but I really want straight hair once in awhile...

    thank ya darlins

hey sweety I wrote about this in another thread but i think if you fix ur after bleach hair after it you can use the blow dryer technique.
Get hair oil. Seriously the best is from Body shop its a coconut oil product or basically any kind of hair oil does the trick.
Before you plan to wash your hair massage at least a handful of oil to your hair especially to the damaged parts. Wait at least - in your case - 30 mins and then wash it twice with shampoo then put on conditioner wait for 10 mins then wash it off. When you dry your hair you will feel how smooth it is.

i really hope i could help I have no other ideas on how to straighten hair without blowdryer or iron
But i guess if you hair is fixed it wont matter that much because the bleach damaged your hair mostly.
Plus if you plan to brighten your hair use hair removal creme instead of bleach its amazing and wont damage your hair.

Thanks :] I use coconut oil daily and it does wonders. Also it seems my hair is much happier being dark. I dyed it with henna/indigo and it feels and looks much nicer since. I think I'll go with a blowdrying technique. Should I put anything on my hair before I blowdry? What settings?

What straightener do you use? I have a Remington straightener that I got for around $20 with ceramic plates that works really well. I do blow dry to mostly straight though (on damp to nearly dry hair to prevent "cooking" it) to avoid having to do too many passes with the iron and I use Tresemme's Thermal Creations heat protectant. The most important thing to do if you're straightening your hair often is to deep condition once a week to every other week. And a protein treatment should be used monthly. For the weekly/bi-weekly deep conditioning treatments, I use this stuff called Chocolacio (found it on Amazon) and for the protein treatment, I just add an egg to that (I'm old-fashioned like that). HTH.

the thing is im from Hungary so i dunno if i say there is a product i know you have it in america but if u would like to have really straight hair go to the store and look for a certain kind of spray among the hair products which u should use before straightening. if u get this dry ur hair and then spray on it of this product. carefully and everywhere then comb your hair. than redry it. the trick is because of this hair product the dryer wont get out the fluids of your hair but of this product
this way ur hair wont look dry.

I actually don't have a blowdryer, but I'm about to get one off amazon. I think I'm going to go with the "Revlon Rvdr5029 1875 Watt Smoothstay Ceramic Ionic Dryer" It's 20 as well. I've never blowdry-straightened my hair. I only recently discovered that you can use it in place of a straightener lol. I definately need to do more deep conditioning. It tangles and frizzes easily.

I was going through this a few months ago after going lighter and lighter via foils (after blow drying my hair instead of using a curling iron or flat iron to style it it's improved a lot). Coconut oil is amazing (jojoba oil is ok too), leave it in overnight for best results (any deep conditioning product or hair mask left in over night helps). If you can get away with not washing it too often, then opt for dry shampoo-that way your hair should stay straight and you won't need to heat treat it again the next day (it depends on your hair though). Or, just use conditioner instead of shampoo sometimes so that the shampoo doesn't dry out your hair. I use Wella SP repair shampoo/conditioner and various protein treatments (monthly), as well as masks and oils almost daily. If you do heat style it Moroccan argan oil is great and make sure you always use a heat protect (I like Karastase résistance Ciment Thermique).

wow these are amazing products! Thank you soo much I read upon them <3
Just a quick thing if you plan to use oil that often or more than once a week try not to put oil on your roots. Your hair gets easier greasy.
Plus it also helps me if I just simply let my hair air dry. And then I can stlye it.

yes, buy a good quality straightener!! can't stress that enough! my straightener fried my hair, but when i used my friends CHI straightener it looked silky and smooth. also, use a good thermal heat protectant like the chi oil ( good god i sound like a sale's person, but i swear i love their stuff!).
when you straighten, make sure you go over it very slowly and "glide" it over your hair. i was very rough and straightened my hair with quick rough strokes and it actually damaged it much more

Right..but any heat tool is still not good..at least for me, I've now sun damage to add to older (longer) hair which's been highlighted, not trimmed enough. So, I use my own method..straightener w/o heat but manipulation. It may not be stick straight, but it looks good
