Default Belly-dance coin skirts: is it OK?

I just bought a blue one with gold coins, kinda looks like this but the blue is a lighter shade, and nicer:

I think it's pretty, so I was thinking about wearing it to work with a gold g-string and a bikini top. What do you think? Is that silly?

Also: what about the cultural appropriation aspect? I'm of East-Asian descent, not West-Asian/ Middle-Eastern. Subtle difference I know, but I'm sure some customers will point out that I'm mixing up my stereotypes.

It may or may not be important to note that A) I don't know how to actually belly-dance, and B) I will be taking it off and getting naked.

I like it. If a white girl can wear it with no problem, you should be able to as well.

    Shake it, girrrrrl!

I love the way these skirts look. I've been looking for one to just wear to pool parties. Trust me, 9 out of 10 customers aren't thinking of the cultural aspect. They just want it to come off. Just be careful with it though. Last time a girl wore one of these at the club, she got drunk and I kept picking the coins up off the DR floor and put them in a little pile in case the dancer wanted to attempt fixing the skirt.

I have that exact skirt, and a few others because I use belly dance routines in my private dancing. The coins fall off a lot, so now I just use them to cam.

I'd get it/wear it w/cow bells, just to annoy roomies when they're hungover
