the direct deposit copies. Just copy your bank record.
thank you very much![]()

First of all, Do you have any credit? More than likely they will deny you because you don't have any cards already.

Idk where you're applying but I got my card through US Bank and they didn't require any proof of income. I had zero credit or job history. It's a "student" card (even though I wasn't in school at the time), it only has a $2k limit, and I did have a decent chunk of change in my account and had been banking there for 6 years or so, so that might have affected things. But if you haven't already just talk to your bank and see what they can do for you.![]()

Did you get a secured card?? that has always been the only way to establish credit for me.. I had to do it 3 times already and i am 40 now.. If you have NO credit or BAD credit.. I would not even bother trying to apply for an unsecured card, Most banks will just turn you down and you end up driving your credit score down even further looking desperate with all your inquiries on the credit report. They take points off your score for applying for credit ( in case you didn't know this) The majority of your credit score is made up of Credit cards ( Revolving) and payment history, the other factors are minimal. Just recently My mortgage was sold off to another bank. So My prior mortgage closed my account so currently I am showing no mortgage at all because the new mortgage company hasn't reported me having a mortgage with them yet. I found out that my credit score went up. So I learned, that personal , auto and mortgage loans do nothing but make your credit score not as good. It's truly all about the credit cards and payment history. Now! However, when applying for credit, any credit establishment is interested to see a mix of credit on your report. (Installment and Revolving )

You can definitely get approved for credit cards with NO credit. Everyone has to start somewhere. They usually give you a low balance to begin with. Store cards (like a Target card for example) are usually easier to get with no credit history than "regular" credit cards. But yah, you can totally get one with no credit.
Also, you might get more answers if you post in the "Dollar Den" section.

^^^ Not anymore, its really hard with no credit and below a certain income level. Post-2009 bank bailout situation.
Your best bet would be to get the Capital One secured mastercard which requires you to pay $49-$200 or more if you want a higher limit. Also, my thread in Dollar Den might be helpful: - start at Step 7, but Step 1 might be helpful also
Keep in mind, if you make below 36k or whatever the minimum cutoff is, all companies will deny you for cards now. They will deny you under age 21 also, for most of them. It didn't used to be like that, but the recession changed things.
Also, if you have anything in chexsystem, they will all automatically deny you too. Like if you overdrafted on a bank account and didn't pay it.
Also, they may ask for proof of address. For me, they made me send a utility bill or a lease. Cell phones don't count. Banks have been extra cautious post-2009.
I'm re-building my credit right now (medical debt which turned into bankruptcy), and have been approved for 3 cards now with just listing self-employed and sending bank and payoneer statements. The first one was the Capital One secured mastercard.

man when I was in school thy where throwing credit cards at me. this was a long time ago

I recently, about 2 mo. ago, got my first cc. I have 0 credit, but that doesn't mean you have a 0 as your credit score. Mine was 750 , 775 and the 3rd wasn't what they looked at so idk what that could be. The cc company called me to verify my info and asked me questions, like will your parents help you out if you ever need it, etc, my living situation ( rent, own, roommates) we talked a tiny bit about my job, I told them I was a model and I was working with 2 different companies, they asked my income ( I just said 28 a yr) and I was asked if I wanted to buy anything and I just told them that I wanted to establish credit. I didn't have to supply any proof of address, I just had to tell them and they conformed it. I got approved for 3 grand. This Is a discover card, I applied for.
In the past I've applied for store cc and been denied for all off them because they needed a cc to apply.

Indeed this is now the case. 'New' regulations now require lenders to verify 'employment' as well as income level. Camgirls typically have a bit easier hurdle to jump because the payments they receive from webcam hosts are documented ( check or bank transfer vs cash ) as well as because the 1099s issued by webcam hosts provide 3rd party 'corroboration' . There are lots of discussions on this and related topics in the Dollar Den.Not anymore, its really hard with no credit and below a certain income level. Post-2009 bank bailout situation.
So, what if you get your payments via Payoneer? can you just print out your payoneer information? or is it best to only do bank deposit/wire transfer or a paper check? Sorry to piggy back off this thread but I am looking at qualifying for a new apartment and a car loan (at a buy here pay here lot). Anyway, thanks for asking this question because I am very curious as well.

You can use payoneer ( or any other payment processing service ) money transfer records, along with bank deposit records, as a 'secondary' verification of income. For many lenders ( especially 'subprime' lenders, whose business centers on making high interest high fee loans ) this is usually enough. But for wary lenders ( i.e. 'prime' low interest rate low fee etc. ), the only 100% accepted proof of income for 'self-employed' people is showing past years' tax returns.
There is a ton of info along these lines in Dollar Den, so I won't elaborate in this forum.
