Dizzy Mistakenly agreed to time OTC

I mistakenly told a customer I'd meet him for lunch.

I only did it because he kept asking and he was the highest spending customer that day (I'd had a rough couple days where I barely made any money) so I was thinking in terms of green$$$ and not logic. Plus I haven't dated in a long time and I while I know happy dancer/customer relationship it's extremely rare, I hear a couple ladies here say they've had success. YES - I slipped in a weak moment. But I'm back to turning down all requests for anything OTC.

I don't know if he is trying to hustle me or what but he kept saying sh*t like he wants to spoil me and be my sugar daddy.

I am confused as to what I should do

If I decide to keep my word, should I tell him I'll go to lunch and charge him for my time - after all I could be working this day plus no one knows that I'm dancing and I'm a little paranoid about being out with customers plus I don't wan't him to get the wrong idea that I'm going to f*ck him.

If I don't keep my word, should I tell him the truth as to why - I just don't think I'm ready to get outside my comfort zone to do any OTC and I was saying that I would cause I was caught in the moment or should I come up with something creative and hope he gets the point?

Quote him a high enough price that would make you want to go out with him to just lunch. He either says no, or he says yes but either way you're comfortable.

make up a family member illness. you don't have any free time because any day you aren't at work making $ to pay for medical bills, you have to be at home caring for your very sick family

    Charge him an obscene amount.

Maybe you can tell him part-truth (that you've never done this before, it's a big decision, you're not ready)
and part-tease (you've just been so busy, you need more time to think about it, you still think he's a cute/ a great person),
and stall a possible rescheduling while you take advantage of the amped-up intrigue levels and make more money off him (invite him to the club on days you're working, to "visit"/ "hang out").
You can tell him the total truth later (that you just can't bring yourself to do it), if he doesn't get the hint on his own (or get so bored/frustrated from waiting so long).

Is that unethical? It's part of the art of the tease, right?

I read on here a really great way to agree to go out with customers. You say, "Of course I will meet you for lunch, you are a respectful guy and I know you will compensate me for my time!"
Although, that doesn't really help since you already told him you'd go. If you aren't comfortable meeting him, then just don't. If you do decide you want to meet him, just be safe, and make sure it is clear to him that your time isn't free. And make sure he knows that buying you a meal does not equal payment.

If it were me, I'd just be honest. I worry if you make up an excuse that he will keep bugging you after the 'family emergency' or whatever has passed.

Don't panic unless he actually remembers, a lot of dancer's say things like this and never deliver. Pretend to be busy if you want to keep him spending ITC without seeing him OTC. This might not last long if he is only after a OTC meeting. Or, if you decide to go to lunch with him, charge him for your time and make sure he knows it's just lunch.
