Minnow - the sports car thing is kinda bad ass. Bummer you had repairs on a new car.

My worst impulse buy was a wedding dress. I was wandering along, window shopping when I spotted it. I tried it on and it fit perfectly. I just had to have it. 2 months later my fiance at the time dumped me. That dress has been sitting in my closet since and it makes me sad every time I see it.

You mean besides a variety of impulse purchases with dancers?
A professional grade deli meat slicer. The theory was that we would make roasts and use the slicer to give us fresh lunch meat from the leftovers. Well, we do indeed make roasts, but that slicer has only left its box once in 6 years - lol. It is big and heavy and a bitch to clean, so we usually just slice up what we need to by hand.

MANY MEN WANTED TO LAY ME DOWN, BUT FEW WANTED TO LIFT ME UP

The American Dream was my worst impulse purchase. Wife, 2 kids, big house (with big mortgage), cars, boats, land, jewelry, strippers ...etc...
I can do better than you in a two bit fancy house

My favorite designer-Chanel, Chanel, and more Chanel~ Blazers, Purses, Jewelry, watches. I justified it, by telling myself that I needed Chanel for my corporate job, but now it all sits , waiting for me to wear it. I've always been a compulsive shopper, so add to this list... everything! At one point it was actually boring to go shopping, because I had everything. Plus, my husband at the time had major money to burn. I would do it again if I still had that kind of money rolling in. I love to shop.

so typical but: Shoes and handbags. With shoes, I go into the store and without fail the highest, most uncomfortable, beautiful shoes have to come home with me. This would not be under 'bad' impulse purchases except that I wear the same pair of ratty old men's flip-flops 99% of the time, and should look nto upgrading my casual wear shoes but, nope. Those don't do it for me like sparkly high heels do.
Same with handbags. I'm not in Chanel territory, but cannot count how many cute Rebecca Minkoff and Michael Kors bags I have. Yet again, an old Coach bag from 2011 is my main bag due to it not being too dressy, too small or too big and easy to find things in.

+Hair, hair, and hair ......I have no problem spending $50 + on extensions, just to take them out a month later, and don't have a decent purse to save my life. Smh....
I meant $500+

Hair. Hair. Hair. Always hair. I go from Blond to Brown to Jet Black like monthly! I spend a small fortune in salons doing this crap. Sad thing? They will let me keep ruining my hair just for the bucks.

A bought a full legnth coat that would probably give most PETA people an aneurysm. I bought it because it's super glamorous, but then I realized that I don't exactly go *anywhere* glamorous, or even semi-swanky enough for this coat. So I've worn it once and felt ridiculously overdressed the entire time I was wearing it.

Had a couple of surgeries and made " pain pill induced QVC jewelry purchases " - sadly the pieces were only pretty when on pain pills - lol
I belonged to a multi-level marketing group and got a huge discount from a dealership on a vehicle - it was beautiful - I fell in love with it and never checked any reviews - it was the biggest POS - the worst year for that model and a top ten POS ranking from Car and Driver -

I'm a little ashamed of myself for this, but here it goes: I purchased matching outfits for my dog and I so we can look cute together for holiday parties and family get togethers. That wouldn't be all that bad, (even though it cost me around $600 for the 3 outfits) except I decided to get my dogs nails painted to match mine as well. Impulsive? Very! Will we look amazing in holiday photos? You bet! I'm still a little ashamed of myself though. Oh well.

I'm gonna go with dresses and "going out" clothes... I got back into ballroom dancing, and my studio holds a weekly social party. I've been buying a new dress or outfit components every week -_-
I mean, it's not the biggest waste of money, it's maybe $30 a week, but it's kind of silly since I don't go clubbing really or to anywhere but grungy country bars... so the dresses get worn once, then sit in the closet for 3 months until I deem everyone has forgotten I wore it already and I can wear it again... at which point the outfit is old news and boring to me. Aye carumba.
Also, a few years ago I bought a 250GB Xbox 360 special edition. It was around $400. I was bored with it after 2 weeks, yet I can't bring myself to sell it "in case I decide to play again". Gah.

Last month I bought 4 designer perfumes in the span of one week. I also went online to the Michael Kors website and saw a purse I liked; 10 minutes later I was in the car heading up to the mall to buy the purse. But on my way out I had to stop at True Religion and buy not one, but two pairs of jeans. Last month was a bad month for impulse shopping for me.
