I figured I might as well start a CMD thread as I've been spending more time using the site lately and the unwritten rules of indy confuses the heck out of me.

So, I had a guy send me a payment for a show for today but I am unable to do a show today. (My breasts have huge black bruises all over them from a 30 minute BDSM show on Streamate. They are really hideous right now.)

My ad on CMD is old and no where near the front page. This is actually the first time that someone has booked me through the site that wasn't traffic I sent myself. I was actually rather shocked to see it my my email box.

I told him that I was unable to book a show with him till next week. Was that bad indy etiquette? I am just rather surprised that he'd pay me first and then ask me about my schedule.

If you wanted to, you could tell him about the bruises. He might be ok w them and you can get the show out of the way. I had a big butt bruise from intense sex and just added it into the story of my shows while it lasted. (ymmv and all that)

Oh good grief 6am. Based on this, I'm thinking of adding a disclaimer to my ads on CMD. Something about- Skype me first for availability or whatev.

i havent really gotten into indie camming yet but to me that seems incredibly rude. it remindsm e of my days escorting and i would get phone calls at 3am from a guy (i worked 12 noon to 10 or 12 and heading for bed around 3... ) then get like 5 next messages from him. Im interested .... are you awake.... when are you available ..... Its slightly different because he paid you already but he was dumb and jumped the gun and the way he was pestering you like that he sounds needy and inconsiderate

I too have never had anyone pay for a show without getting in touch with me on skype first. I do have one guy that will pay first, but he will send me a message on skype and just say, I paid for a show so whenever you're available just let me know. He knows I am on randomly, so he also knows he may have to wait a few days for me to be able to cam

I don't think what you did was bad etiquette at all, you told him you couldn't do a show at that time. He shouldn't have paid until he know you were available. The only thing Would be is if you had your yahoo on and he assumed you were online.

The only thing Would be is if you had your yahoo on and he assumed you were online.

I haven't had my yahoo messenger on in weeks. I thought about that too and checked if I had somehow accidentally left it on by mistake.
I haven't bumped any of my CMD ads either.

Thanks for letting me know that this is just a strange occurrence. I was really wondering if guys expected you to be online 24/7 for them to pay you!

that is cool i was gonna suggest to you about giving him his money back because i didnt think he was a good custie and was almost positive it wasnt gonna be possible or a pain in the ass to do glad to hear its not - so thax for sharing that and making this thread =)

I cut to the chase after the first two HRU type messages with links back to my ad or where the info they want is. A document open w your copy/paste stuff helps, for example, I have my blog link, the CMD ad link, my youtube link for the free preview guys.

Now, how much of this I send depends on my mood at the time as all of it can be accessed from the cMD ad where they got the ID in the first place. The guys who are paying usually do so quickly and without a lot of bullshit, which I learned from this forum. Similar to free chat I imagine.

I still can't get a hold of Mark on Skype to get verified on cam. He messaged me when I was offline, then I messaged him back when it said he was on and never got a reply back. It's been a few days.

I just talked with Mark yesterday and he should be implementing a new option for customers to purchase your skype IDs. (This is optional) The cut for IDs will be like 50/50 though because it costs him money for each transaction and anything under $10 isn't really worth it. Too many time wasters trying to add people on skype. He didn't believe that guys would purchase a yahoo/skype ID so I showed him my monthly transaction list from NF and he changed his mind really quickly lol. I told him, if their only option to chat/get shows is by paying for IDs, they'll pay if they're serious. Had to look out for you guys!

Well, I want this to be true. However, right now the front page of CMD has lots of models offering $1.99 -2.00 a minute cam, so I doubt $10 Skype IDs are going to be big sellers. Guys try to talk me down from $25 for 10 minute blocks, which is dirt cheap. I wish all the girls commanding 4.99 and up per minute on Streammate and anywhere else would also demand it on CMD and NF and drive prices up.

It's fear of desperate competition combined with possible loss of business that keeps me at the 2.50-3.00 minute range. I need some balls! (This turned more personal than CMD, usually I'm quite private but look out today)

Yes that will be awesome. And about the $10. If they are serious they will pay whatever amount. On NF I charge less than that. Personally I don't really care what to charge for Indy IDs. Just a few bucks to show they're serious and they can't use the "bb all I can use is Paypal line." I think this will cut down on a lot of the bullshitting.

No, I was thinking $2-5. He doesn't like charging anything under $10 because with the 75/25 split, he'd be losing money on each transaction. If it's 50/50, it would be worth it as we wouldn't be getting 75% of that $2-5. I did tell him that if they did pay $10, they could simply put that amount towards the show itself but I didn't mean to reference that he would be charging $10 for a skype ID. He doesn't allow transactions under $10 because of the merchant fees for each transaction. Hope I cleared that up. I charge $2.50 on NF and they don't mind paying it. I had 13 new customers pay it easily last month and each was followed by shows.

I will begin by saying that I love cmd and think it's an awesome service. Mark is great for running it.

That being said, does anyone else feel like Mark isn't very personable? I don't know what it is about him. I just get this unfriendly vibe whenever I correspond with him. Like I don't expect him to be my best friend, and he's never very rude. I just always feel like he is annoyed or something. He's very short. Dude needs some people skills, or maybe a person to help with model admin idk.
