Default Anyone use an inversion table?

My boyfriend tried his friend's inversion table this weekend and was really excited about it.
This despite me bringing up inversion tables a year ago to him and getting a lackluster response.
I'd always thought about buying one for him because they're easy to get on craigslist, but never did.
After he told me about it this weekend, I said last night that he should look on craigslist.

Not an hour later on (I was asleep) he wakes me up and says he's leaving to get one (wow, this
sort of excitement is pretty rare in him so this thing must be amazing.)

I've woken up now and he's asleep (different sleep schedules) and there's an inversion table in our
    computer room.

I'm reading the reviews for this particular one (it's a teeter hang up) but was curious if anyone out
there used an inversion table and what they thought. I remember reading very few bad things--
along the lines of it not working for a small portion of people, but the larger amount of reviews seemed
    to be gangbusters for efficacy.

    experiences?

Yes, inversion tables are great! I have the same model and use mine to help stretch my lower back, it's absolutely great for this and verrry relaxing. You can feel all your vertebrae slowly stretching apart as you invert -- this allows the synovial fluid to flow more freely. Unless you have a contraindication like high blood pressure, problems with your eyes or knees, etc., you should be okay. Personally, I just love the way all the blood rushes to my head/face, it's just great for microcirculation. I had the same reaction your bf did when I tried one out at a local store -- loved it so much I bought it on the spot!

My boyfriend has naturally high blood pressure. I've seen that contraindication but he doesn't care. What could happen?

I'm still trying to get used to going all the way upside down. All the blood rushing to my head puts unpleasant pressure around my jaw area. Otherwise 30* is pretty comfy. I think I'll eventually be fine-- like doing handstands when I haven't done them for awhile, I have to get used to all that blood up there that isn't normally.

My Dad has one! Not sure exactly what he uses it for (his back, I think?) but he loves it! He also uses it to do situps on.

No, but I saw one on Home Shopping Network I really liked..some guy designed it he also sells it, it seemed really well made, & could also do a 40 degree, which is said is the only position that your back is totally at rest.
